Here are a couple of oddities out of my 'collection'. I bought both around 1990 and they have been in storage for the last few years. Interesting how tastes change as I would never buy these today but they still hold some nice memories for me and they make good tea!
Barrel shaped pot with bamboo fittings
- Clay type: Hongni? Qing Shui Ni? Duller sounding, not high fired.
- Size of pot: 140ml approx.
- Age:Bought in 1990.
- Thickness:Thin on the thick side.
- Pour: Multi-hole. Never timed the pour.
- Purchase: Hong Kong
- Tea used:Experimenting with Puerh
- Qualities: Makes good Puerh, smooth pour, easy to handle.
Thatched hut teapot with bamboo handle & spout
- Clay type: Zisha or Zini. medium fired.
- Size of pot: 170ml approx.
- Age:Bought in 1990.
- Thickness:Thin walled.
- Pour: Single hole. Never timed the pour.
- Purchase: Hong Kong
- Tea used:Flower teas like Jasmine
- Qualities: Nice to handle and look at.
