The fruity note I'm thinking of here is a bit of tartness, like pomegranate or citrus, not too sweet. I don't find that note in the greener oolongs, which to me are full of warm sunny tastes, floral and haylike. And the Dan Congs have so much complex spiciness that the fruity doesn't sing out to me as much as it does in the wuyis, even if the roast is similar.
