I have had teas that were bad enough to trash, but I can't bear to throw away tea, so I just kept them (without drinking them)

Started the morning with a Japanese black from Yuuki-Cha.
Next up: Adagio Dancong Aria.
Is that koucha any good, Victoria? Props to you for trying it! :)
Yeah, I love it. Mellow and sweet caramel note. I've gone through several packs. :)

So far the only tea i have ever had that was so bad i had to throw it out was a sample of whole flower chammomile. I was new to tea and looking for something i could drink late in the evening. well that wasnt it, i couldnt make it through the cup,but ended up throwing the tea down the drain and the rest of the bag in the trash.

I have had several that i really didnt like, but made myself drink anyway. some of them i ended up liking after several cups, some i was glad when i finally finished off the bag. so far i really havent bought much outside of samples so it wasnt like i had a pound of nasty tea to drink, but i just hate throwing away food/drink.

I just can't bare to throw away tea. I have several boxes of celestial seasonings/twinnings and others I will never drink but haven't thrown them out yet.

Sleepytime tea tonight

I do not feel comfortable throwing out tea but yes I have done that: Yogi Tea tea bags, Lapsang Souchong, some sugar plum flavored black – just to name a few.
Sencha Premier in my cup.

I have to say that I can't recall ever throwing bad tea away.. admittedly I don't think I've ever had something that's actually made me retch, so that's helpful. I have had several things I didn't care for, and I took all of those bags to work, and they're nearly gone! (although apparently no one at works likes Bigelow's Orange and Spice or whatever it is). Other than that, my major disappointments have been by the cup only, which just tells me not to get that the next time I go. And the more I go to the tea place in our mall (disclaimer: local place, NOT Teavana), the more I try things there that I don't like, so it's turning out that I really only like a small handful of their offerings, which is probably good because for the quality they're more expensive than Adagio about 4 times out of 5 (the exceptions that come to mind being their Wuyi, which is pretty decent - especially as an every-day tea, and their Silver Needles, which I haven't tried yet.

Started out the day with some Darjeeling at work, and was just about to reach for some dessert-like tea to get me through the afternoon when I realized that there were cupcakes, because we had an office birthday yesterday - so of course we had to celebrate! (In an office with 12 people, it works out pretty well). So that was it for today, because by the time I wanted something else warm, it was too late for caffeine, so I had some hot spiced cider. Maybe tomorrow I'll have more tea.

Too many companies think they can take a black tea and throw in a pile of cloves and call it a "chai". Yuck.
Dang, I shouldn't have sent you that box this morning!
Is the tea in tins or bags?

I never throw away tea....but if it´s awful I never drink it either!

not even...

my collection of various Earl Grey´s I lost my taste for years ago...

stale green tea I didn´t drink because it felt to "rough" going down...

or teabags that are several years old...

or even the bag of "Young Puerh" that has the aroma of manure and a taste that matches :?

and there´s a handful of other miscinalneous low grade loose teas that I haven´t touched for years...

I think at this rate I might manage to throw out the teas that deserve it by the time I move out ¬¬

Neither. It's in #7 plastic coated with BPA. :)
