Congratulations, Seeker! :)

Still using an infuser in a cup, this time for some genmaicha. I can't wait until I get up to Maine-- I'm definitely going teapot hunting at the local secondhand stores!! (I always find the most awesome stuff there... :D )

Congrats Seeker!!!
Warning: here comes a bad pun!
Seeker, now that you've found 'er will you be changing your name?
I did warn you

Today a kyusu did all the brewing! Gray rainy day here (again!) and green tea seemed like the order of the day...a little sunshine in my cup.

Have a great week, all!
Dreamer

Congrats, indeed!

Finishing off the tea day with several things in succession--Gyokuro suimei in the kyusu; Huo Shan Huang Ya yellow tea in the glass teapot; and ending with some lemon myrtle rooibos in the glass teapot.

Ahhh.

Wow - thank you all for your warm wishes.
Dreamer - we each decided to keep our own names, and interestingly each of us will answer to either surname with Mr. or Mrs. in front of it. :D
My sweetie got her Master's Degree today - walked her graduation ceremony today at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Just got back.
Finishing my combined 2nd & 3rd infusions of gyo in my travel cup that I never got a chance to drink until now.
Cheers!

I really enjoy the snowbud - it's definitely become my favorite white.
Thanks LauraW, I'll put the snowbud on the list to try next. Comments on how you like to brew it would be appreciated, it would give me a starting point for my exploration!

Typically 180* for about 5 mins. The color doesn't really change, so that's unfortunately not an indicator of "doneness." 2nd and 3rd steeps for about 6-7 mins.

Thanks again, I appreciate the advice. The Adagio sample tins suggested 7 minutes and I just couldn't imagine letting a tea go that long. I kept mine in the 1-3 minute range. I'll be brave next time and let them go longer. Looking forward to the experience!
