Re: Ferg: Yixing, Kyusu, & Caddy (for sale); Tea & Cups (for free w/purchase)
Yes those are beautifully crafted but on the small side generally. At TeaHabitat Imen had a bar cabinet that opened up but it was only table height - I'm looking for top and bottom storage with table
I may just design something....

Thank you Ferg...I'll have to make room for a Ferg tea-ware section!
Re: Ferg: Yixing, Kyusu, & Caddy (for sale); Tea & Cups (for free w/purchase)
Fang pot, cups, and EoT samples received today, just in time for Christmas! Thanks Ferg!
For anyone who's interested in the other fang, it appears to be quite high fired, so I would suggest using it for medium-high roast oolongs. I think a square pot would be a bit odd with balled oolong, so probably Wuyicha, but I'll give it a try with a few different teas over the next few days, including high fire TGY and traditional storage pu erh.
One thing the fake pot makers haven't quite gotten down yet is the SMELL of a good pot. 80s zini and qingshuini have a very distinct clean fired clay smell, vs the dank smell of raw clay that the fakes seem to have.

Thank you for the kind words Jay. I'm glad you like the pot so much! Your enthusiasm for it has sold me on it. I've decided to gift the other after all.jayinhk wrote:Fang pot, cups, and EoT samples received today, just in time for Christmas! Thanks Ferg!

So with that, I'm pulling the 1987-1993 50ml Factory 1 Zini Fang teapot for sale. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! Please feel free to ask me questions on the other items.
Warm regards,

Another update:
I am pulling both the Tokoname Mogake Flat Kyusu by Gisui 250ml, Vintage Sakura Tea Caddy, and Tsuen AOI Shincha from the sale. What can I say? I am teaware hoarder and it's difficult for me to let go of some of these items.
However, I've decided to let go of some additional stuff. In the last post below, I will post a listing of everything for sale in consolidation and will continue to edit as I believe I can edit only the latest post. Otherwise, I'll continue to provide updates as items sell.
Now, on to the items...
First up is a ShuangXi (literally, double delight) cup from Late Qing / Early ROC period, i.e. about a hundred years old. I am including this for FREE with the first pot listed, the 40ml early 80's Factory 2 HeiNi Shui Ping. The cup is about 30-40ml, so the two go together perfectly!

Re: Ferg: Yixing, Kyusu, & Caddy (for sale); Tea & Cups (for free w/purchase)
All of the cakes and yancha below were purchased from Tony at Origin Tea. I stocked up just before he closed up shop about 2.5 years back now.
The yancha is still sealed in the bag, so that has been the storage on that one. The puerh cakes were kept in their plastic sealed wrap (on top of the paper wrappers) for approximately a year. At that point I took the plastic wrap off and stuck them in a cardboard box on the top shelf of my kitchen pantry. I don't cook often, so no issue there. Then over this past summer I purchased a large crock pot when on a visit to Amish country with my grandfather. They have sitting in that for about half a year now, with crock pot lid on top.
I have provided samples out of each of the puerh in my previous Origin Tea Yixing sales and received positive feedback, so I won't be reducing prices.
***Note, the prices are reflective of the cost of the items themselves. I am taking the hit on shipping costs.***
1995 Mengku Ye-Sheng-Da-Ye Raw Puerh Cake (half cake) - $72. The leaves on this one are stiffer than the other cakes. However, this cake is ready for drinking now!

1996 CNNP 7542 - HK trad (75% cake). - $113
Definitely more than half a cake on this one, so reducing total price on cake by 25%. The HK storage is still evident. Based on some feedback by other members, this one could likely use 2-3 years of airing out before being more prime for drinking.

Re: Ferg: Yixing, Kyusu, & Caddy (for sale); Tea & Cups (for free w/purchase)
I also have a whole cake of the 1996 CNNP 7542 - HK trad (whole cake) - $151. I won't be taking out of wrapper for pics. See pics of opened one above please.
Re: Ferg: Yixing, Kyusu, & Caddy (for sale); Tea & Cups (for free w/purchase)
2000 FuYuanChang - HK trad (2 x half cakes) - $164
This cake is consisted of two half cakes. I received extras from Tony, but gave them all away as samples with pots previously sold. I didn't even get a chance to try it myself. I won't be unwrapping this one either, as I'm incapable of re-wrapping (as evidenced in pics above
), so you'll just have to trust me. You can faintly see the logo through the white paper wrap.
