Sigh, looks like I'm calling them. :(

Update: Called them and apparently they deliver until 8 PM. Yay, two more hours of madness.

Update 2: It's 8:15 and Fedex never came :(

My good friend Yutaka Midori is in my cup now...5th steep. Don't know if my sense of smell or taste or both are off today, my 2 fav senchas really didn't impress me much. How depressing.

I had to vote other as some tea I've shared w/others but one was so bad, I threw it away. I also have a 5 yr old w/a less discriminating palette so if she likes it, I keep it on hand for her so I can keep the good stuff for me. I know, bad mommy!!!

Had a cup of Valentine's tea earlier this evening but it just didn't hit the spot. Will have to go stare at the tea drawer & see which one talks to me. Wish me luck!

Yay! Fedex finally came at 9:30 PM, to late to sample my new teas and I got another sample of the Valentines tea with it :? . I'm guessing I'm giving this one away.

After staring at the drawer for a while, finally decided to break open my sample of CTC Assam. It's pretty good. It won't be going to the trash or my daughter's stash so there's some promise.

BTW, what does the "CTC" mean? I'm new to tea so haven't learned all the terms yet. Thanx.

CTC means crush tear, and curl. I believe it's a processing method.

A few teas that I didn't like, I've given to friends who I thought would like them. And to let them off the hook, I told them they could feel free to throw them away if they didn't like them either.
But I've also tossed a couple in the compost bin (found that I absolutely hate rooibos, can't stand the texture or the taste, so it might as well help my flowerbeds :) ).
Keeping old Lipton (or store brand) teabags in a tin at the back of the cupboard are good for soaking swollen eyes, bug bites, etc.

Started and ended the day with Blossoms of Springs, a blend of green and flowers (hot in the morning, iced 2nd & 3rd steepings at night).
A few steepings of Adagio's Peach in betwen.
Oh, and strong chai as a base for a morning protein smoothie.

I never considered the tea-bag-eye treatment...I totally forgot I used to do that with my leftover chamomile bags when I was younger and had free time to take care of myself haha!

I'm totally doing that with my leftover bagged tea now...thanks! :)

Today was an oolong day. Dan Cong oolong and then later tonight vanilla oolong. In between, valentines and chocolate tea.

Oh, and at the restaurant I had Awake tea. So sue me. It is cold outside.
