Some 80s shen toucha goodness in my cup. Heck even the washwater on this puppy is crystal ruby goodness. Last time I brewed it I used too much leaf, this time I went the other way and found yet another reason to love this, it is not weak with less than 2 grams for my 100ml yixing, in fact it is more flavorful than with 5 grams, go figure. I had been a bit worried my first brew of this toucha was a fluke after that last fiasco.
Girly girl Victoria. I guess that's ok since, uh, you're a girl. ;D nice photo, share more.

Over the last month or so, since I first discovered Adagio, I have tried something new several times a week, and sometimes almost daily... still working my way through lots of samples.
In my cup this morning was Darjeeling #22 first... mmm... alittle sweet with a splash of cream. Then I made some Dragonwell for the first time, and enjoyed it well enough. Still haven't found my OMG I LOVE IT groove on the greens yet, but they are pleasant.
I'm drinking the rest of my darjeeling 22 over ice now, and trying to decide what to try next.... maybe one more "something new" today.
Goodness knows I need the caffeine, after 2 nearly sleepless nights and a ton of babies popping out light popcorn.

Slow TeaDay today...did everyone give up tea?
Well, at least some of us are still caffeinated. I am enjoying Hashiri currently. Interestingly, a use of a smaller kyusu sems to have enhanced my enjoyment of this shincha. I cannot really explain this since the proportion has not been changed, just less of water, leaf and pot size. Oh, smaller cup too.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

I think the last new tea I tried was a couple weeks ago. It was Adagio's silver needle. I know that's a big favorite around here, but it really didn't do much for me.
Victoria, what do you think of the Tao of Tea Li Shan? I order lots of stuff from them and this is one of my favorites. It reminds me of gardenias.
Today has been a little monotonous, tea-wise. I've been at work slurping back large quantities of Ceylon OP, Adawatte Estate from Upton. I might have some ripe pu later.

I don't remember getting a gardenia aroma, I'll pay more attention next time.
BUTTTTTTTTT I am totally IMPRESSED with it. In fact I am shocked how good it is.
I had totally given up on large variety US vendors, I am just amazed at the taste and the cost. Thank you again to GeekGirl.
Today's LiShan is a different un-named and but direct from Taiwan I believe.
Also delish.

I was wondering the same thing.

Thanks.
I think the most recent was Long Juan tie guan yin about a week ago.

I accept your invitation. Let's see... if I get in the car & leave right now I should be there by Friday. Got the spare room ready?

I made an Adagio order less than a month ago for breakfast teas and some restocking on other teas so some of those were new teas. I have some other new teas arriving soon since I got excited over the weekend when I saw that Adagio came out with a line of Honeybush. The main purpose of that purchase was to get an IngenuiTea sample set for a going away gift for my friend who is moving, but naturally I had to get to a few teas for myself too. I am still waiting to open the Hashiri Shincha from Den's. That should happen sometime this week.
Today I have had two steeps of White Tip Oolong at work and am now enjoying a mug of Kyoto Cherry Rose Sencha.

OK... so in the spirit of trying new things, which I do almost every day... I tried something new just now. I got a sample of Lapsang Souchong in the mail this afternoon which I received in trade from another teachatter who didn't care for it.
Holy smoke! I totally love it. I hoped I would, as I really like the smokiness of gunpowder green and Keemun Concerto... but was alittle afraid based on the strong reactions I read in the reviews. I really enjoyed my first cup with a splash of cream and a smidge of sugar. Can't wait to blend it a bit with some other blacks, but its so unique and delicious on its own.
