I voted "pretty much". I use the variable temp bravetti, which limes up quickly with the spring water I'm using, so it get's a daily rinse with vinegar. Any thing out of the dishwasher gets a rinse with water until the slipperyness is gone. The two filter cups get the overnight bleach treatment when the filter starts to get stopped up.
In my cup a really, really full 8 oz Castleton estate with lunch. The other 4 oz is on the counter. A note to all teachatters; 12oz of brewed tea does not fit in an 8oz cup.

I'm drinking oolong this morning. Woke up and hubby was grousing that I didn't make tea for him the last couple of mornings. (I usually make tea for him. 7 years he made coffee everyday for me. It's my turn now.) Asked what he wanted: "Ummm... oolong?"
That's the right answer.
I also went a little ebay crazy and have not one, not two, but THREE Pi Xius on their way to me.
Along with the poppets, I feel like there must be some underlying psychological issue at play here. My inner 8 year old hijacked my debit card. Yeah that's it.
Henley, I LOVE that cup. ooohlala! Salsero, today's picture with the dried flowers is beautiful. I wish I had thought to dry a few from last week. We had a heatwave (for us) and all my flowers are looking a bit scorched.
Washing: I rinse everything with hot water after every use. I descale tea and coffee pots about once a year. The water here has an extremely low TDS, and nearly neutral pH, usually between 6.8-7.1 (seasonal,) so very little mineral buildup. I voted "other" because I don't have to be fanatical, and have no teaware issues. Although, NONE of it goes in the dishwasher.

Henley, I love your cup and saucer, too! You have some gorgeous china. I think I need to start collecting...
Augie, you cracked me up! Many sympathies for the house-issues!
GeekGirl, you have a blue teapot!
Me likes! Where did you get it?

Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.

Pentox, it's a pattern from the '50s (?) by Homer Laughlin, called "Skytone," the decal pattern is "Marcia" I believe. Not sure how well it translates to photo, but cup and saucer have silver trim. I have a fairly large set of these dishes, setting for 6 complete, and up to 9 of things like dinner and salad plates. Lucky ebay purchase about 8 years ago.
Henley, I got that teapot on a closeout at a coffee shop that got bought out by $tarbuck$. It was VERY dusty and tucked on the back bottom shelf.
