After four cups of Den's Fukamushi Shincha Maki, I'm so full I can't get a single sip down. Which means no more tea 'til tomorrow. Earlier today I've had lots of shu from 1992. Love it.
Regarding teaware, yeah there's been *some* added. But my kitchen is not big so I give away or throw everything I don't have room for. The last year I've bought my first gaiwan and my two first tea pots. Next purchase will be a gaiwan. Or two. And then I love getting new tea cups though I really buy them if I really can't resist, and that doesn't happen very often. If I can walk out of the store empty-handed without greiving for the rest of my life, I do.

That's pretty impressive performance for a cooked puerh!omegapd wrote:Just finished up my 7th infusion of 3g of Adagio Dante Pu. It's definitely spent now, but was fun while it lasted.
Hey, that's just what I am drinking right now! It is a good, moderately-priced Taiwan, ain't it! I am drinking it only because R_S mentioned she was drinking it yesterday so I put it out for today. It's taking the country by storm!Victoria wrote:This afternoon I'm back to some nice oolong -

Too many??? Nah, too many is my list - when you can't even remember how many to list. Embarrassing. Still waiting to see some additional pics of that nice looking Hou De set.Tadpole wrote:What would you consider a significant increase?

Switching this afternoon to a nice oolong from a friend bought at a local tea shop in Pasadena called Bird Pick.

I bought too many teapots that I won't be using, it seems - the woes of uneducated newbie
. I own 7 teapots now, of which I am using 2. That's the price of knowledge, I suppose. And I got a gaiwan that I am using almost daily.
I am drinking Shincha Kirameki and loving it to pieces. It is also giving me a buzz

Finally got settled in with a cup of yukata midori shincha, in my favorite new(ish) deishi yunomi. Such a beautiful and unique piece of teaware. I believe hagi is lowfire, so it sweats, and can drip when new, although mine does not.
Click the image to see the droplets. I only get them on the first pour, and only for 1-2 minutes. After that, they are gone.

I acquired a few pieces of teaware, but I did not go as overboard as I could have. I purchased a kyusu, a glass gaiwan, a yixing pot, a teacup, and a Zoji. The pieces that I ended up with are all currently in use except for the yixing pot since it is bigger that I would have liked it to be and I am enjoying my oolongs in my gaiwan way too much at the moment.
I started today with Oolong #8 and am now switching to some 2005 Shui Xian Wuyi. Mmmm...

i have obtained a nice gaiwan, which i havent used lately because i've been busy making some delicious japanese greens in my kyusu which i also acquired this past year. Finished up the last of my shincha reserves yesterday, and have moved to some of den's sencha superior today. The smell, taste, and color...so delicious...
Victoria,
I love that glass/cup! Where can someone needing more teaware find one?
All of my teaware, if you want to call it that, is new in the last year. I haven't got anything fancy and even use a Pyrex measuring cup on occasion.
This morning I had iced assam/ceylon mix, tonight I'm planning on Darjeeling #22 or Masala Chai.

I had never seen ribbed ones before! Mine are 6oz.
