Boy, the results are all over the place today. I picked Wenshan because of the wonderful Baozhong I had from there recently.
Mao Xie Oolong today. (Figures, today I happened to make a Chinese oolong. I'll never catch up with these polls.)
Here's a photo of my tea with our morning's harvest from the garden. Peas too...

Very attractive, Katrina! I like both the tea vessels and the multicoloured beans.

It's actually pretty good. I'm not sure if I'd use the powdered stuff to make my hot tea, but since I'm way too impatient to brew the tea and wait for it to cool (and I hate pouring hot things over ice - weird pet peeve), this is a nice quick way to get chilled green.
It's my sencha version of those little single serving Crystal Light packets.

Yeah, I had those things a while before the crystal light packets came around I think. It's a great product for when you're on the go. Just carry a few packets with you and toss it into a bottle of water. I have instant matcha packets now too, they work great as well.

Ack!! Sorry to hear this! Hope you are feeling better!

Thanks for the well wishes.
Still no tea, but I'm going to force myself to eat some supper in a few minutes so gotta find something that'll go with pizza.

Sorry but I haven't found a tea yet that really is excellent with pizza. I say go for a Pepsi. Diet Pepsi.

My favorite at the moment is Wenshan. The 2nd Year Old Tree Wenshan Baozhong from Tea Masters to be exact.
Sorry you are feeling poorly Omegapd. I recommend some green tea. Not necessarily with pizza, but as a wholesome health drink.
I am drinking a Phoenix Dan Cong. It is a 2007 Huang Zhi Xiang from Tea Habitat - a gift from Sal. This tea has smells of peaches! Super ripe peaches fresh from a tree - peachy fruitiness, sweetness and a little fruit-like acidity. It will knock your socks of with its aroma. It is interesting that it is a tea aroma, the smell is appears natural to the leaf, not an add-on. I am not that sure about its taste - it has a nice, but not very remarkable oolong taste. But the aroma is out of this world! Thanks Sal! I have now tasted a Dan Cong!

Wow, those beans look amazing! I have not had good fresh green beans since we lived in Michigan (13 years ago). I bought some that were wonderfully deep green at the store last night -- hollow and dry inside.
Finishing up my 2006 Changtai Banna Toucha sample today. I had a sour stomach and Pu Ehr seems to cure all!

In honor of today's thread, I've switched to a Taiwanese oolong. I've been playing with my new toys though, and can't recall which one this is.

You might want to try Tao of Tea, they have an excellent one at a very good price.
You can find prices from very low --------> very high.

, Wenshan from the Oolong Queen is in my cup...and brewing too. Oolong looks so amazing in a glass cup, Japanese just looks like swamp water...good thing I like swamp water.

I'm copying her answer! *raises teacup* Here's to a nice & easy frivilous poll question.
Great pics today! Omegapd, hope you're on the mend & feeling better soon. Auggy, hope your friend gets a good report.
Another busy day. Nothing like getting ready for kindergarten! Took my dtr & a couple of her preschool friends out to lunch for a back-to-school pizza party. Spent the rest of the afternoon shopping for school supplies & attending open house. It's official--my baby girl starts kindergarten on Thursday.
(Sorry-emotional mommy moment.)
Crashing now w/a cuppa LiShan Fu Shou from Floating Tea Leaves courtesy of the box pass. May not have used quite enough leaf. The flavor is a little weak & can't tell a lot of difference between this & the Ali Shan from last night. Will have to play w/the two of them side by side next time.
