Thanx, Geek. I thought I saw them before. But these are new for you? Very nice!!! Is that a crane on the one on the right? They use cranes a lot in teaware. At first I thought of a Phoenix.
I am about to try a brand new tea for me...well...this particular offering. It is the brand new Kabusecha (shaded Sencha) from O-Cha. I will keep you posted.

Your accent is coming along quite nicely.chamekke wrote: ... we furriners can't take part ...
That's actually not a mirror. I posed them very gently on the extremely still surface of a crystal pool. Teaware this good actually can stand on water ... can't walk on it yet, but I am working on that.chamekke wrote: The mirror underneath shows them off beautifully.

On my second steep of some Special Teas Yunnan Competition grade stuff. So yeah, without even reading what everyone else is drinking today, it sure looks like a Yunnan Gold day for many of us.
Found out this morning that I can't go back to work until next week. Tuesday if I'm lucky. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. I do know that I'll definitely have the time now to do some gong fuing with some excellent samples of Puerh from Salsero Enterprises.

Beautiful photo - I envy and believe you.
Black tea in the morning and afternoon - Matcha Gen-Mai Cha for the afternoon and Oolong in the evening. With honey. That way, I sleep.

OK, trying the O-Cha new Kabusecha right now, first crack at it. I am doing a tasting with this sencha, so I want to "figure it out" first.
First noticed a slight corny sweetness in the aroma. I am on my second steep right now. I think I like this more than other kabuse I have had. I am also picking up the slight gyokuro character that should be present in a kabuse.
Kabusecha for those who may be wondering is a sencha that has been shaded for a week or two. So, it is sometimes described as being in between sencha and gykuro. Sweeter, milder, less intense aroma than sencha.

blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
My afternoon tea is again the fragrant green oolong.
It's a smooth and easy brew.

Black Tea
I have either Yunnan Gold or Keemun every morning. Awaiting delivery on Black Spiral to try something new. Found the description interesting. Apparently it is from the same plant as Bi Luo Chun green tea which a farmer deciced to process his summer flush as a black tea. Anyone tried this? jim
