Yeah, I bet that job must really stink! Tough break, designing killer audio systems.

Everyone wants her gaiwan. I say we organize a committee and go snatch it from her!

What a beauty. You find the bestest cups!

In my cup, Darjeeling ... again today. This is starting to get boring. Think I'll switch to some Huo Shan Huang Ya next. After all, what's the point of drinking something you can pronounce!

Only one thing to do ... West Coast TeaPartay!!! Clicky here and join Pentox's Shincha TeaPartay.

Currently sipping Shincha Aracha with some Karigane added to round it out to my TeaSnob tastes.

It's not really a pattern, but I just picked up the gaiwan below (with matching cups) from SensationalTeas for $9.50, and it looks even better in person :)

*drools more*

Weak spot for nice teaware with nice Chinese dragon design, especially gaiwan since I am already gaiwan deficient.

Yeah, saw that one too, ABx. Something to be said for a simple gaiwan design as well, especially since I am already gaiwan deficient.

You are such a bad influence on me!!! I have been looking for a gaiwan that I really liked. Wasn't willing to pay $85 for the black jade one I found but I'd pay $9.50 for this one--especially since burgundy is my favorite color. Plus it would coordinate nicely w/my black & beige cups. :D Thanx (I think  ) for the link!

Hehehehe, tea and teaware can be a bad addiction :)

The color is actually a bit deeper in real life. That pic (which is the vendor's pic) is in the sun, so it looks a little washed out. The fact that it's very shiny also doesn't help.

If you get it then you also have to get the matching cups :D They're all very good quality (and quite thick), but the cups have a Chinese character in the bottom (on the inside) which adds a nice touch IMO.

Hmm, I wonder if GeekGirl got that from Serenity Art. It looks familliar. You definitely have to stop by SA the next time you're up here, Scruff :)

That gaiwan is drop dead gorgeous. Any idea where that can be bought?

Yes indeed, that is where I found it. I won't tell you how much it cost, but it was one of my least expensive purchases ever. :P
