And I didn't get one of these spoons with my O-Cha order. Maybe because I got a sakura bark scoop.

Trust me, you would likely never use it anyway.
Speaking of O-Cha packaging. I got the all new Yame Gyokuro and the Chiran Yutaka Midori today. You gotta love Japanese packaging, seriously. I always feel like I bought myself a present with the beautiful nitro flushed foil bags.
I keep these, for what I have no idea, but I can't just throw them away. I guess it is kind of similar to how pu collectors keep there wrappers.

blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
I don't know, I like Japanese packaging on the onset, but when I think about it, it's one of those things where you realize that you're paying for it in the end. Yes it's really pretty, but do you like the notion that you're paying more for it just to be pretty. As compared to say a lupicia bag w/o the frills and just a sticker slapped on it.
(Note, this is in reference purely to the outward facing portion of the packaging, i.e. non functional portion.) Nitro flushed airtight bags are always welcome and I welcome paying for that as it has a functional benefit.

Yep, I felt bad throwing the wrapping out. My first o-cha package, on the other hand, came unceremoniously wrapped in the crumpled pages of the Japanese paper's adult entertainment section.GeekgirlUnveiled wrote:My matcha from Ippodo was so nicely wrapped it almost seemed naughty to take the paper off the tin!

Actually, I think he photographed it and put it somewhere where we were able to see it. Pretty funny stuff. I guess Kevin knows more about Brandon than we do! If we ask nicely, the file may still be around somewhere that he could link us to it.GeekgirlUnveiled wrote: ROTFL!!! did you throw that one out?
