Sarah,
What a pretty cup! I love clear glass so I can see the color of the tea.
Today I was doing a search on Dooars tea, which I ordered a small amount of from TeaSource and found a site called Jaya Tea. They had some Castleton 1st Flush listed. I don't know what quality of vendor they are or how their tea is, but might be worth trying?
Also, sending prayers your way on your biopsy. I had a thyroid biopsy several years ago that ended up being a cyst. Hope that yours has a good outcome as well.

That sounds like an awesome idea, I'm definately in! I'm a tea reviewer for teaviews.com. It sounds like this program will be similar but a little more standardized, with everyone brewing the same way and tasting the same teas.
No tea yet for me today. I slept late and haven't brewed anything yet. I spent the night trying to rescue baby mollies out of my fish tank and I am exhausted.

I managed to find 5 of them after hours of backbreaking work, lol.

Poor kitty is trying to tell you to switch to Oolong.
In my work cup this morning ...
Rishi Boa Zhong Oolong.

Who said she was a kitty?
No oolong in my cup currently, Chiran Supreme ftw. Oolong is next.

Sign me up for tastings! I'd be happy to write reviews.
Yesterday morning I drove down to my in-laws for some family stuff. Home now. Need tea. (I did take some Formosa lapsang and Irish breakfast with me, so I was not without, but I only got to have one cup last night and one with breakfast this morning. NOT ENOUGH.) Also need a nap. In-laws have the worst guest bed ever.
My cats are fascinated by tea. Dahlia likes to taste-test my iced teas, and Juhani is never happy unless she "helps" me make hot tea and gets to sniff the results. You know, it's really hard to measure out the leaves when a cat insists upon sticking her nose in the tin. So cute, though!

Oooo! Pick me! Pick me! I would love to do group tastings! This is an absolutely awesome idea.
Today is starting with hojicha since I really don't need any caffeine at the moment.

Thanks! I got it at the Salvation Army for a dime!
Shop 2nd hand, I'm just sayin! That's where I found my somayaki cups too... 59 cents each as compared to 19.99 each at Teavana.
Thanks again for the thyroid blessings, everyone. My endocrinologist isn't worried, but I will still be glad to know for sure. Will keep you posted.

I'm interested and would like to know more about it. I'm not sure that I have the necessary "expertise" to properly review all varieties of tea. Also, there is the expense....
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.

Sounds great! I'm up for it.
In an awful mood today, but hoping that some houjicha will lift my spirits. I've lost all motivation to work on a paper, despite a fast-approaching deadline.
