Chip, I'm so sorry to hear about Delilah...
I have to go hug my cats now.
Happy 42nd anniversary, treazure. I hope it's a good one. The guy and I are going to a fancy fondue restaurant for dinner this evening, and then if we feel up to it after all that food we might hit the goth/industrial/EBM night at a club for a bit. Neither one of us drinks much or dances at all, but the music's good and the people-watching is fun.
Iced blueberry black right now. Ceylon Sonata earlier this morning.

Chip, I am so sorry to hear about the loss. I have two cats of my own that I know I will have to say goodbye to eventually. Hang in there, ok?
Why on earth are there so many votes for the mystery tea???? That could be some really good stuff!
Last of my Hibikian shincha this morning. Until next spring my dear
Steeping some organic malty assam right now!

So sorry to hear about Delilah. I'm sure she lived a long and happy and safe life, being very loved. It is so hard to lose an animal they are so much a part of our lives; giving so much and asking for so little. Going quietly, peacefully is the best possible way. Although I know it is painful, I'm glad you are also celebrating her life.
For me this morning at home Adagio Yunnan Gold.
At work now, I'm about to brew up some Darjeeling direct from Ms. Geeber1.

I voted for mystery tea. It gives a sense of mystery and possibility to it. It becomes really a trick or treat. In reality though i'm actually handing out peanut butter cups today. If anyone decides to trick or treat in my apartment complex. Otherwise I just have a bowl of yummy peanut butter cups to eat later.
Chip, sorry to hear about Delilah.
This morning: Lupicia Tokio.

We mourned and celebrated the life of Delilah this morning as she passed away last night with Gyokuro Yame. Sweetie seems to like Japanese greens in the morning, so blacks have taken a back seat for the morning brew, tsk tsk. Wulong joined in, climbing up to my shoulders.
She was pretty old and did not suffer, very grateful for this.
I'm glad that Delilah went peacefully.
I'm making the trip to the vet's tomorrow morning to "put down" our 19 year old cat, Licorice. I had to put his mother down about 2 years ago. She was 18. Licorice has hung in there, but been failing the last 6 months. He's now not eating, drinking very little, and staggers often when trying to walk. I've been a wuss about putting him down - so now I get to do it tomorrow.
We have 3 "hurricane kitties" from the 2005 season...siblings "Charlie", "Francis", and "Ivan(a)". Ivan should be Jeanne but she was so tiny when we named them I didn't realize she was a girl!! So, the house is still a wreck.

Since I opted not to go to school today here are the pics of my new teaware early. Nothing special but a nice set to learn on for sure. I am very impressed by the quality of all the items.
Nice teaset!

1. Happy Anniversary, Ladies...
2. Chip, sorry for your loss, my friend.
3. Shogun, great looking set! Enjoy it.
4. Chad, our thoughts will be with you tomorrow. I did the same a year or so ago with my old mutt dog and while it was tough, I felt so much better when it was done.
Off to pick the kiddo up from school with a travel mug of some Yunnan Sourcing sample stuff...

Sorry Chad, to hear about your kitty too. It is such a hard thing to do.
Hugs to you.
In my cup this afternoon: Dooars Oodlabari Estate from TeaSource -
Thanks Geeber1 for the sample and the opportunity to try my first Dooars tea.
Nice set Shogun!!! Looks like you made the right choice with those cups!

My condolences Chad

(more hugs)
Hearing all of this, I have to go home and make sure I spend more time with my kitties now. I felt like I've been neglecting them as of late by not playing with them enough.
Right now, trying out my Very Berry Caramel Cake blend that I just got in the mail. It's "berry" tart, which I like hehe.

Chad, it sounds like you're doing the right (but very difficult) thing. Good luck to you.
And thank you, Victoria, for the tasty-looking tea samples!
No idea what to drink now. Between V. and Sarah I have so many teas to try... Thanks again, ladies!

You are very welcome! Did I send you Hand Made Nilgiri? If so I'd start there.
That one seems to be a favorite around here. Haven't heard a negative yet.
I'm trying again - on my second steep of Dooars.

Poor Delilah, I'm so sorry Chip.
My husband went and bought more Rishi Chai, so that's what we had this morning. The only think he likes more is Jasmine tea with honey. He has been working hard lately so I let him pick the tea.
I made lots, so I brought some to work in a thermos, but it's almost gone, and I am moving on to pi lo chun. We'll see how it holds up against tooter-fish popkin.
Last night I carved my first ever jackolantern. Muahaha!
Happy Halloween Everybody!!!
