Tea reigns supreme on my list, but a pot or two, some special cups, a tea table are definitely close behind. Hmmm, actually, a really nice kyusu is maybe on top.
Started the day with Organic Sencha from Kagoshima. Sweetie was present as usual for the morning cup. Wulong stopped by, but I am beginning to suspect she really doesn't have any interest in green tea.

In my gaiwan this morning - savoring the last leaves of Jade TKY from TeaSpring, water temp. low, time short, and plenty of leaf. Yum, light & sweet.

I haven't really thought about tea-related gifts for myself. It's all about the big screen tv. That's enough to make me happy and I don't have any super-special tea items that I want but are enough of a splurge to call them a Christmas gift to myself. Though I do really like the new tasting sets.
TKY this morning for me. Very happy today is Friday. Not going quickly enough though.

Hi Auggy, me too, that's what's in my cup and I am sooo glad it's Friday. My tea from Victoria should arrive this afternoon! YAH!auggy wrote: TKY this morning for me. Very happy today is Friday. Not going quickly enough though.

Fujian Baroque all day so far today ... another nice new black from Adagio.
Last night I continued with another 7 infusions on top of the 6 the previous night with a 12 Gentlemen Menghai "Wei Zhong Wei".

Tea, hands down. Teaware is awesome, but I'm very picky and would rather select it myself. This would all be moot if people were buying from a wishlist with links/specific items, of course. Any gift is appreciated, though.
Started the day with an Assam (yay routine!), and I think it's time to make some oolong to go with a lunch of leftover Chinese food. Wuyi Amber it shall be, as the lighter stuff just will not do.

I'd love to get some tea for Christmas. Close behind that is a new gaiwan. Now, I just have to convince people that tea or tea ware would be a better gift that clothes I would never wear or random knick-knacks that would sit on a shelf and collect dust.
I tried the Malaysian Highlands Black tea today for the first time. The dry leaf looked like coffee grounds. It came out tasting like a very typical black tea, not overly impressive, but decently tasty. Currently in my cup: sencha.

Teacups for me. It never fails, if I'm given tea, it's always mint. I hate mint tea. I REALLY hate mint tea. Did I mention I don't like mint tea? Or rooibos or herbal or...it's either black, Oolong or Darjeeling for me! Period. No debate. Naaaaa, I'm not picky, just old enough to know what I like and adios to the rest.
Teacups however, give me the frilliest, most delicate cups that just scream High Tea. A fancy English teapot and luncheon set would be incredible, especially if it didn't match. I've never been able to decide which dinnerware to get so I usually buy a place setting of several types.
Tea of the moment is Irish Breakfast brewed strong enough for a mouse to dance on.

Jeanne - I never met a tea pot I didn't like.
Yunnan Noir in my cup this afternoon,
I really like this one.

Why don't you do a coffee table book (tea table) with your incredible tea photographs? Your presentation is breathtakingly exquisite and I'd actually buy the book rather than just checking it out at the library or trying to find it at a used book store.
