I didn't get very far into the assignment, but it was damn enjoyable!

Re: Adagio Emerald Needle
Another Adagio, ehh? Sounds like you are working on the calendar idea! Woot, LOL... frequent cup points are in my future.Salsero wrote:Another Adagio tea today, Emerald Needle
Your work is lovely... you make tea look even more delicious, which is a challenge in itself.

Haha!! ok, I'm game!
I'll find a nice one for later this afternoon.
This morning I started with Adagio's new keemun rhapsody
and in my cup this afternoon the new white symphony
I just had a little fall coming up my stairs in high heels, yeah I should have known better, carrying a tray of tea and misjudging the top step. So my tray, glass tea pot, glass cup and 16oz of off boil tea go flying out of my hands as I fall and hit my head on the door frame of the spare room. And rather than wondering if I am hurt, the first thing I think of is, did my pot break? A true teaware lover here.
Don't worry my pot did not break, amazing! Nor my favorite Molo frosted glass cup! And oh yeah, and I'm ok too.

Glad to hear there were no fractures of your pot, your cup, or your skull. You sound as graceful as me, LOL. Be careful!Victoria wrote:I just had a little fall coming up my stairs in high heels, yeah I should have known better, carrying a tray of tea and misjudging the top step. I answered "other" because I usually spend a fair amount of my Sunday reading Teachat... no less than any other day, and perhaps more because it's usually a lazy stay-at-home day for me. I work most Sunday evenings starting at 5pm, so Sunday mornings and mid-day are usually spent vegging on the couch, watching Food Network or QVC, visiting with my mom and dad, and playing online... all the while, drinking tea, of course.
In my cup this morning was some Golden Monkey. I got carried away and put in too much leaf because my tin was almost empty. I think a mouse coulda tap-danced on it. I drank alittle hot, and then iced the rest to dilute it down a bit. I made a 2nd infusion which was less robust, and enjoyed it hot. It seemed like it wasn't completely depleted but I was afraid it was too far gone for a 3rd infusion, so I threw in a pinch of darjeeling to top it up... and the result was very nice.
Have a great tea day everyone,
Sarah

Figured I'd snap a shot of this tea today too. After my kid's birthday party finished up, and I had a second to relax, I made up this Grapefruit Pai Mu Tan from Upton Tea. I never noticed the nice color to this tea and thought I'd share. It's a nice, fun, tea- nothing to obsess over- and one of the few white teas I like.

V, glad you didn't break anything. Hope everyone had a great day. Being up all night at work and all day here now, I'm going to finish this tea and crash.

Carnelian and GeekGirl, thanks for all the good information on self-publishing. Another new obsession … just what I need! I've already downloaded the Blurb software.
This afternoon I have been comparing three Lu An Guan Pian teas side-by-side … brewing three at a time and slurping up the leftovers. Who says green tea is low in caffeine. wOOt … I’m on the xpress train, baby!
Unfortunately, all three were likely harvested six months ago and even more unfortunately, although I can see some real differences in the dry leaf, they all taste pretty much the same to me!
Zacstill, I'd love to get a better look at that tall, painted cup or faircup in your photo.

Victoria, I'm impressed that you could make it up the first however many steps in high heels. I couldn't take a single step in them. I'd break my neck.
I've been downing infusions of FLT's Taiwan Wuyi all day, courtesy of the Oolong Queen. It's really tasty. I did take a break from it to go over to my sister's with Mom, where we had some Kenyan Pekoe and made funny faces at my 8 mo. old nephew...

In honor of Caligatia's new found love of Wuyi and Brandon's
persistance, this afternoon I brewed up a nice cup of my favorite
wuyi - Da Ye from TeaCuppa.

Here it is. In the photo from today, i was using a really small tasting cup to taste the tea, and pouring the rest into this big cup to drink.
It's definitely hand painted, but probably not very high quality. I prefer a something with a thinner rim, but its an endearing little cup.
I could take a photo of the symbol painted on the bottom if anyone is super-interested
