You're right about the signing in thing. I didn't realize I was signed in until until you pointed it out. Although, if you're not signed in, the 15% off appears in your cart automatically.

I saw that Red Rose has an Adagio Kettle on their site for $30. It looks like a different version than on Adagio's site, maybe it's an older model?

I think we all fall in that same boat. Just today I placed an order for a couple of samples of rooibos from an Ebay vendor. Now, I've said here many times, I'm not a fan of rooibos and almost everyone I've tried, I've hated. But my thinking today was that if I keep trying them, I'll eventually find that diamond in the rough I've been looking for as a healthy caffeine free alternative to regular tea. If it doesn't work this time (again) it should kill the urge for a few more months until I give it another shot with another vendor...

My mailman is going to need a hefty tip this year putting up with me...

I hadn't been to their site in ages, but I think it's based in Canada. Maybe a different kettle for the Canadien market?

I will admit to getting hooked for awhile on their White Tangerine Tea that I discovered while in Vancouver.

My mom dropped off a box of that a couple weeks ago and it's pretty good. The Pear flavored white tea is really good, though. That's the only one I'd buy again.

I'd probably just be happy if its green. I'm sure the extra nutrients would come in handy. However, I doubt I'd particularly enjoy it.

So does Tazo not count, even though you can get it at most grocery stores?

I am seeing no discount at all... just an offer for a free sample of Jasmine Needle Tea. I'm not clear on why the discount is not across the board, but if anyone figures it out, let me know... I'd finally order a UtiliTea kettle if I got 15% off.

That's strange, I opened Adagio's page without signing in and a 15% coupon appeared in my cart without my clicking on anything or signing in.

I'm sorry to have whipped up any trouble, I figured that since it was on their page AND in my cart, it worked for everyone.

Oh yeah, the poll...

Well, Revolution Dragon-Eye Oolong would be my TOP pick from a grocery store; their pear white and ginger peach are very good too. For unflavored tea, I like Luzianne better than any other common store brand (also not a choice)... Tetley, Lipton, and Bigelow are all in similar standing... and I gave my vote to Red Rose, which I can't buy locally, but I've sampled thanks to Omegapd. Since I can't have it all the time, it seems less common... and it was quite good for bagged tea.

In my cup today has been the last of my Margaret's Hope Darjeeling... has been a very enjoyable sample, but I'm ready to move on. No more tea for now, as my nephew is participating in Chrysalis this weekend, and I need to get myself ready to go attend the candlelight ceremony.

Already looking forward to tea after candlelight.

by treazure » Nov 29th, '08, 20:41

Maybe the crate wasn't filled with tea bags but loose teas of the same name?

You guys are cracking me up. The crate contains what it contains, but you can still wish for other teas.

Just wait for tomorrow's poll.

Had some cold brew sencha, just threw a bag in the bottle. Quite good.

The next attempt at tea was ok, nothing great, I had a pinch or two of Yutaka Midori leftover and added karigane and some lower grade gyokuro. It was good, but not one of my better attempts at blending.
