We might not want to offend those who live across the strait, either.jasonowalker wrote: I hope we do not offend any of our mainland China friends by distinguishing Taiwan and China as separate countries.

Oh I don't think anyone is offended - we all know they are all very different and distinct tea growing areas. The poll is meant to be informal.
In my cup this afternoon Shanlinxi oolong.

Had an out of body experience with Kuradashi gyokuro from Olivierco. This was my second try and much better following his temp guideling of 130*. So, I went 4 grams in a 2 ounce Korean pot. Very nice, thanks Olivier!
Crazy afternoon. My parent's flight back here from Chicago was delayed twice. They finally departed after several hours of delays and in flight the captain came on to announce a mechanical problem. They landed back in Chicago safely.
At least now I won't have to worry about rush hour traffic when I pick them up it seems.

Well Wuyi is China, and your Harney is a blend of blacks most likely from India.

As for me, mail was late today but I just received a lovely jade oolong called Tsui-Yui from Trey Winston. From Taiwan to Norway to the USA. Very nice floral and sweet with nuances of clover honey.
Thanks Trey!

I have been enjoying an abnormally large amount of Sencha as of late, so my vote is going to Japan! And wish my luck with my JET application, which I sent in last week. This time next year I could be sipping tea in a Japanese rice field!
In my cup right now is a second infusion of some Lychee Jasmine Green Tea that's hitting the spot just right.

I believe drinking tea makes me a better artist. But hey, I also believe I'm completely sane.
Maybe - maybe not. We could ask our resident expert. The person who likes amphibians well done.Vulture wrote:I consider it from the US as it was mixed and created here. The Celion tea is from elsewhere but the cinnamon and orange peels arn't.Victoria wrote:Well Wuyi is China, and your Harney is a blend of blacks most likely from India.
