That officially qualifies as goofy.omegapd wrote:I've got one of those too.gingko wrote:I love this mug with 3 handles. It's called "threesome"I forgot about it until you said something. Here's mine on the right:

Aargh! Right now I'm in another province, visiting family, so I can't do a quick inventory to answer this question properly.
I'm sure I've got a couple of chawan-s with (to me) goofy themes. One has an ogre on it, for example. I believe it's intended for Setsubun, the ogre-repelling, bean-throwing "festival" held on/around February 3-4. But probably there are others that are even weirder. Can I post to this topic next week after I get back?
My husband's favourite tea "cup" (really a mug) is a mug with Winnie the Pooh inserting his nose - in various stages - into a pot of honey. That's the traditional or "classic" Winnie the Pooh, as illustrated by E.H. Shepard, not the Disney monstrosity. It's super-sweet and I've never seen another one like it.
This is the last picture on the mug. Resembles me, actually, when I'm enjoying a really good tea. It reminds me of an aroma cup:

I've got a couple of holiday-themed mugs, one of which has a lip that causes lots of dribbling. I don't use them anymore, though.
I'm with Cinnamon Kitty weather-wise: currently 13°F, which becomes a balmy -3°F when you factor in the wind. Our pipes started to freeze!
Time for some Oolong #8 while I finish up some paperwork.

I like what your mug says!
By sitting in peace and doing nothing,
You make your one day worth two days.

I freely admit, I drink tea from mugs far more often than from traditional teacups. I love to hold a large mug of hot tea, because my hands are usually cold... (warm heart, yada yada). I have lots of mugs, but I guess the goofiest mug would be... my Goofy mug.
I have a small collection of Disney mugs... Goofy, Donald, Mickey, Minnie, Tinkerbell, Tinkerbell, The Dwarves, and my personal favorite... Tigger! I drink out of Tigger or Tink most often, although Grumpy is getting my attention today with a big cuppa Vidyarana Darjeeling FF.
My favorite character is Joe Cool (Snoopy) and I would love to have a teacup or mug of him... I will have to do some looking. If I could find a Tom Everheart image of Snoopy on a tea-mug, I'd be quite a happy girl.
Was up all night with a young lady that can only be compared to Linda Blair's character in The Exorcist... head spinning 'round, blasphemous language, spewing pea soup. Had to threaten her with the police and assault charges when she tried to punch a nurse. She's now the mother of a beautiful little girl who can only hope her mother regains the sanity she lost during labor. I am not optimistic for that, but I will hope.
Came home to a "cat"astrophe with the new kittens, which I won't get into now. Yes, I need a nap. But, I have an eye doc appointment. Maybe after that.
Happy tea day...
(edit... realized after reading my post... now I understand why I chose the "grumpy" mug today! I will try to be Tiggerific by this evening.)

Haha, that is awesome!gingko wrote:I love this mug with 3 handles. It's called "threesome":P It's my husband's, in my in law's house. Now it's for my exclusive use. When I stay in my in law's house, where is no tea related stuff, I would use it to make tea in a goofy way![]()
No goofy teaware for me. I do have a mug with a bear climbing up it but its not used for tea.

I voted cartoon/anime. I have a 9oz glass mug that I got in Japan that is Tonari no Totoro. I'm attached to that movie since it was the first movie I saw in Japanese.
My other "goofy"one is another mug that has lots of black and white cows on it. It was my friend's and he gave it to me for my bday the year I was in Japan when he found out I liked cows. It has great sentimental value to me but I rarely use it for tea. It's my hot chocolate mug.
Castleton 2nd flush in my cup today. Yum.

Floating Leaves Tea First Place 2008 Winter Baozhong in my cup this afternoon.
Very nice, but a little bit too buttery for me.
Looking forward to trying the rest of my package!

Re: Gyokuro Fujitsubo dry leaves
Sal,
I think I can detect your faint reflection on the bottom saucer of first picture, in the top right corner (2 o'clock) I could be imagining things though
