Golden Monkey King, SFTGFOP1 (Mariage frères)
Yunnan gold flavor of course as it is composed of approximatively 50% of golden buds, very smooth but also with some pleasant spicy accents in the "attaque" (I don't know whether "attack" is the right english word for it).

"Starts out" or "starts out on the palate" sounds like a good oenophile equivalent in English. Thus, "it starts out with some pleasant spicy notes."olivierco wrote: The very first taste you experience when drinking the tea.
Although, frankly, saying it in French probably has more class ... even in the English speaking wine world.
I noticed this happening to one of my boxes over the weekend. I did a search for warped paulownia wood and found that it may be a moisture problem. One site recommended using a wet towel and a warm iron to get moisture to pass through the wood. Haven't tried it yet but probably will.
If you're brave enough to try it, I would do it on the side without the calligraphy.
Most of my collection is Adagio tins, a few tins from Enjoying Tea, and one gold-colored one from another tea shop. The only pretty one that I have is a double-lidded Japanese style one. I got in the Japan part of Epcot in Disney. It is currently being used for 90s Aged Nan Tou from Hou De.
I finished off the Glendale Nilgiri FOP today. Sad to be done with it, but hoping for more for Christmas.

I came across this and thought of you Pentox. I haven't tried emailing the store yet but let us know if you end up getting it.Pentox wrote:Phantom: What's disappointing is that I haven't been able to find an non upholstered chabako yet. I've been searching for quite some time too.
