I've never used aroma cups, and certainly don't intend to. Honestly, laziness prevails most of the time.

Soon to be in my cup: a second steep of roasted Anxi TGY from Red Blossom.

I actually have an aroma set on my Christmas list this year. Enjoying a cup of Emerald needle while i watch the turkeys on my back porch, eating the bird seed that overflowed.

I haven't tried an aroma set, and probably won't buy one... unless I stumble upon a set in a junk/thrift store by chance. I love those kind of unexpected treasures. If I were having tea with someone who had an aroma cup there, I'd certainly love to try it.

In my cup this evening is Ooooh Darjeeling, currently giving me a lively 3rd infusion. I'm enjoying the lovely aroma and the slightly puckery astringency this infusion is giving. Darjeelings are so fab. :D

Happy tea day...

Sarah
***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***

First chance to visit TeaChat today. Decided to post here first and then find out what the TeaChat mice did while this ModCat 8) was away.

I have been using aroma cup sets since the Expo this past Spring. I do like to use them mostly for appreciating the aroma of greener Taiwan oolongs. I used them once for sencha, might never try that again. I use them maybe 3 times a week on average.

A good start to the TeaDay with Chiran YM. Then it was bags the rest of the day, but GOOD bags, sencha from Uji. Currently, Sencha Overture with Mugi/Genmai to likely finish my TeaDay.

Hope everyone had a great TeaDay.

I have two sets of aroma cups, both are the fish one in Salsero's picture. I use them fairly often and really enjoy the aroma of the tea much more that way. Especially in the winter when I can roll a steaming hot cup in my palms :D

Nope, never have, but sounds extremely interesting. I like Sal's 'fishy' cups!

Oops, also Horsencls too. sorry I didn't mean to exclude you! Love your idea of rolling the cup in your hands on a cold winter's day. I must obtain a set of these cups!

Nope, the other style tasting sets would be better for tasting several teas at the same time. This is Adagio's set.

The aroma sets are likely better when tasting/appreciating one tea.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
