Umm, no for me. But that is mostly because in the past five years I have become a total lightweight with regards to alcohol - my head starts spinning too quickly for me to enjoy many drinks with a high alcohol content. So mixing alcohol into tea would make me unable to enjoy as much tea and thus not a fun idea for me. I'm not against the idea however and would be more than willing to try it if something just sounded really good.
Magnolia black tea this morning. It didn't really hit the spot for me. It's been a while since I've had sencha so that's probably what I'll break out tonight when I get home.

I could almost say never tried if not for the jerk at the Expo who quite literally and inappropriately tricked me into trying some alcoholic iced tea concoction. Still holding a grudge on that one, since I do not drink, period. (although I do cook with about a fifth of JB per weeklydia wrote:oh, I have never tried. How about you, Chip?

Started the day with a quiet Sencha Premier from Adagio session. Sweetie quietly sipped, Gandalf and Wulong kept the peace but abstained as usual.
Finishing my second attempt at Fukamushi Maki from Den's using more leaf this time around.

Gyokuro will do that, for sure! One reason I usually do small steeps from 2-5 ounces vs 7 ounces for sencha. Speaking of which, I just finished a series of 2 ounce steeps of Gyokuro Kuradashi from Olivier. At 2 ounces (4 grams of good leaf), I usually have no flying problems.kongni wrote:Been drinking gyokuro like a mutha today. I'm flyin'!!!!

I'm not much of a drinker, except for the rare glass of wine, so mixing alcohol into my beloved teas doesn't appeal to me at all.
This evening I'm going off-script a bit and drinking some kukicha from Tao of Tea. It's pleasant enough, but nothing special. I'm not really getting the "creamy sweet flavor similar to mangoes" that the website mentions.

I never fix alcoholic beverages for myself at home. I have beer that's been here for 2 years! I'll drink a margarita once in a blue moon, but I don't want any tea in it. If someone else fixed a tea cocktail, I'd be game to taste it, but I wouldn't waste any of my tea on such an experiment. So, ummmm no.
Long day. Worked all day yesterday, then got called back in around 8pm and was there all night. Welcomed a baby girl at around 0430 and a baby boy at around 1030. I'm whipped.
Drinking some Darjeeling FF Vidyarana, quite good too... and from Teavana, no less. They will occasionally surprise you if you look in the right places.

***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***

Moroccan mint mojitos are amazing and I often put Moroccan mint ice cubes in my wine. Green tea smirnoff is also yummy! I eventually want to try infusing vodka. As for hot beverages, hot tea spiked w/ alcohol and apple cider flavored w/ tea instead of spices are both delicious.
