Purchased locally or on the internet? Especially impressive that a Chinese green is so good this late in the year.
Bought from Palais des thés in august but kept in my fridge until last week.
They are still selling it
here but as it is kind of late and as I don't trust their storage methods I won't buy some more.

Sure wish I could think of something to use those beautiful canisters for!
I just love my tiniest (4 oz) kyuusu, the
Kuromatsu Tokoname that I bought when Olivierco pointed it out on that same site.

They also have some of the cheapest kyuusu around, and I know Cinnabar Red has been very happy with several purchases there, including a very reasonably priced Shiboridashi that I also snatched up.
Now I see I must get some of the Megami Sencha that Padre and Wesli have both spoken so glowingly of. Never ordered from Itoen before.

India won for December.
I've been working my way through a container of Lover's Leap Estate Pekoe and really enjoying it.

Rishi Wuyi hands down. The wonderful roasted aroma and taste makes this the best oolong I have ever had.

Yeah, She is a cutie. I was checking her out. And the Shiboridashi as well, but ended up with tea and canisters.

I have been very much tempted by the 120ml kyusu too! (however thinking of using it for oolong

) as well as the Shiboridashi (I copied paste this term from Sal's writing - can't memorize the long spelling

) set. Now the pretty canisters too! I am still struggling now. I did get some extra money from boss before the new year

Problem is my tiny apartment is running out of space

Hi all! I've been taking a break from obsessing over tea. Things have been busy for me, too.
In December I drank more Taiwan Wuyi than anything else.
Right now I'm about to finish off a pot of Adagio Irish Breakfast, which I haven't had in a while...

For December, I drank a lot of oolongs from China. This new year, I started it off with mate samples for something different for my palate.
Speaking of mate, I had my last cup of mateVana for the day.

Japan for me for December. Though I got the Yutaka Midori on Christmas, it completely blew me away for the few remaining days of the month. Close behind was the Chestnut tea from Adagio. I am so glad that I ended up with a large supply of that one before it was no longer available until next holiday season. Unfortunately, the stash that I have is not going to last that long.
Today has been severely lacking in tea. We returned home from our visit with friends around dinner time and even though I made liberal use of the whistling tea kettle that they had on the other days that we were there, it managed not to happen today. Tomorrow should be a better teaday.

I've drunk mostly oolongs during December.
My two favorites both came from Jing Tea Shop.
1. song zhong dancong
2. imperial bai ji guan
This morning's cup was a bag of Adagio's wuyi oolong.
It was pleasant. I had to heat the water in the coffee maker in my hotel room.

I can't pick any one tea. What I have been enjoying is a variety of puerhs. That's a class of teas with almost endless varieties in it.

Yeah, Yutaka Midori will do that. I have to force myself to not drink it non stop for fear I would tire of this sencha which has been my fave since discovering it 3 years ago.
Let's see, mini session of Fukamushi Maki from Den's which was pretty amazing earlier. Currently just some home blend of Mugi/genmai.
A great TeaDay.
