Cinnamon Kitty wrote:I had some Chestnut tea for breakfast. Currently, there is nothing in my cup as I am deeply conflicted as to which tea would be most appropriate in celebrating that I passed my Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licensing exam tea this morning. The current choices are Yutaka Midori or 90s Aged Nan Tou oolong. I might just end up having both.
Congrats CK!

The whole reason that I'm here is to explore the various teas that are out there. This is a good way to learn about them, sans the marketing hype.

Hm, I'm not sure that i'll really branch out into anything as a result of here. Especially not anything particularly new. There's a few vendors I have yet to try that are on my list, but that's carryover from last year.
In the cup: Ippodo Hosen. Love this stuff.

Congratulations, CK. Go for both!
I'm thinking some roasty TGY is next on the agenda.

I'm somewhat influenced by TeaChat in my tea choices, and likely will be influenced in the future. I hear that the Poppets have been doing some influencing of their own...

Congrats CK!
Yay!!
As for me another busy, busy day. Started the day with a Blue Nilgiri from ToT.
In my cup currently - OOLONG - Budda's Hand from Floating Leaves Tea.
I'm always interested in new teas, I'm sure there are plenty adventures ahead in the new year.
Cool pic GG!!

I have been trying a bunch of different types of teas based on the input of others. Most of them have turned out well, some others not so much. And in the future, I will definitely be asking others here on the site before I run along to make a purchase. I like hearing the opinions of others!
Now what brand and what size TV should I get?
I'm currently enjoying some brewed white willow bark in hopes that my headache will pass. I'll move on to some honeybush next, I think.
I believe drinking tea makes me a better artist. But hey, I also believe I'm completely sane.

I don't think I've said it before, but I really like all your pictures with the Poppets. They look so curious

I think it's highly likely I will be persuaded to try some of the other teas I don't know anything about, especially with the recommendations from so many knowledgeable people in here. Now I just need to funds to keep up the habit!
It's a good think the economy isn't in decline.
I will cushion the blow for the moment with some Ippodo matcha.

I am definitely influenced by many here. I learn something new almost every day from teachat. Yunnan gold this afternoon.

Teaguru: Just say 'No' to the Idiot Box. Major waste of brain cells.
What are Poppets? (yes, I see these wee figurines in GGU's photo, but what the heck are they?)
Good luck tea charms? Minor household deities? or just photo interest doo-dads?
Jasmine tea in the cup.

I have no doubt that I will be led into wild and wonderful new realms of teadom by all you knowledgeable and curious explorers. In 2008 it was pu-erh, which I am still exploring. I notice that a number of people mentioned getting into Japanese greens in the near future and I may join the crowd. Chip seems to have inspired many of us. (Or gotten to us through subliminal web messages.)
Right now I'm drinking an excellent dancong from Hou De.

Well, I've re-attacked this Hai Lang/Long Hao Mengku Wild Arbor....
it coats the mouth really well. Maybe oily. I can't shake the feeling of bacon, though, which is kind of disturbing.
Hey Sal, didn't you have a bacon-like tea awhile ago...? Probably not this one, though.
