Greetings, The Vert! I just had to say that I love your avatar!! Where did you find it?Thé Vert wrote:Green Tea in the morning, and peppermint tea at night to help me sleep
Unfortunately I am not a morning person by any means. So most of the time when I have to get up for work I either grab a cup of coffee at a deli or worse, a redbull from the drugstore next to my job.
But, when I have those rare mornings with a little extra time I always go for some matevana, with or without chai.
On weekends when I don't work I usually start the day with a black tea.
Right now I am finishing up a cup of earl grey creme that's going cold. Some sencha later of course.

Nice photos as always!!!
I used to start everyday with a Chinese black, well, 9 out of 10 days anyway, but ALWAYS black. A few years ago, I switched to focusing on one type of tea for "a while." GREENS, so virtually everyday it is green to start the day, quite different than starting with a black. Currently, no big surprise, it is Japanese greens first thing.
Today, started the TeaDay with Fukamushi Tenho, Organic, from JGTS. 3rd attempt and using more leaf each time. SweeTea liked it, and today, Pyrit had a slurp as well.
About to brew up some Adagio Golden Spring Black in response to a black tea topic.

Experimenting with roasted oolong, yancha and today dong ding. Used to brewing these in a larger pot and need some practice.Salsero wrote:That pot is one sweet honey ... what do you brew in it?
Speaking of Dong Ding, I would love your assistance over here.

Whoa, Nellie, that's getting out of my depth! Maybe some of the TeaDrunk guys could help with it. There's a lot of knowledge there.brandon wrote: Speaking of Dong Ding, I would love your assistance over here.

No rhyme, but some reason tot he first cup of the day. Mostly mood and weather dependant. If my sweeite is around to gongfu with me, we'll have oolong or pu, on work days, I usually go for a black, but not always.

This splendid Keemun graced the pot this morning, because I had to get up earlier than i wanted and didn't feel like futzing with the gong fu wares.
