Wait a sec. Is that the same Keemun that costs 29 € ( =$38 ) for 100 grams? Is it really that good? Is there anything else from Le Palais des Thés that is a must have item?
Yes it is this Keemun. It was out of stock for two or three years and I don't know if it is the same one but I don't care since it tastes just as good. I can send you a sample with our next chataku swap.

Other must have items from Palais des thés:
Yunnan golden tips.
FFDarjeelings (sold out right now)
And maybe perles de feu which I only tried once.
They also had very good Jasmine silver needles two or three years ago.
They sell good chinese greens as Lu an gua pian but now we should wait for next harvest.

I know that I should be able to find same quality teas for a little less money but 40$ for 50 good sessions isn't that expensive, especially compared to koicha and gyokuro.

I am certainly celebrating the new year - with (yet more!) wonderful 12 Gentlemen 2006 'Da Bai Hao'. Already on the fifth steep and it's still revealing exciting nuances of flavour.

Have a good week everyone!

Chinese tea sounds like a good idea to me! After finishing off the sample of Tenuki roasted Oolong #18, I switched to the sample of Red Jacket oolong from New Century Tea Gallery.

In honor of the day, several steeps of Huang Guan Yin have gotten me through the day.

That is what Adagio said! I liked it :) Smooth, relaxing, and with a bit of something that I don't know how to describe but that I really like in tea.

Let's see... today I've had tea from the provinces of Fujian, Guangdong, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Yunnan, and I think I'll have a yellow from Hunan province before bed. Man, I am swimming in tea today. Happy New Year:-)

Luckily my new year day didn't get tea-less. Had some winter harvest Ba Xian. No holiday for new year's day, but I had dumplings, tea, and alcohol, all the essential elements :D

Okay, so I kind of forgot about the Chinese (and Korean) new year, but I did drink a whole lot of Dragonwell today.

In honor of the Korean New year, I placed an order with my friends at Hankook!!!

I tried the new O-Cha sencha for the first time, "Surugawase" from Shizuoka. Pretty good, but feel I need to perfect the brewing a bit. It is too late for another tea, time got away from me. Looks like I will be sipping Mugi/genmai the rest of the evening.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
