What an exciting day, Brandon: Tim, Michael and all that tea experience! Wow. The new pot really is wonderful. Did you photograph it while in New York? Great pix.

superbowl party for me today. I'm taking cupcakes.

I tried something new. Can't say I like it though. Hubby said someone bought green tea at Costco, Kirkland is apparently rebranding Ito-En.

I liked the teabags, very clever design, little silk pouches. The tea... I suppose if there was nothing else...

meh.

Cracked me up though, how it said to empty remaining "matcha" into teacup. Matcha? wait, I'll put up a picture...

Nope, that's the one I raved about before you got yours (RIP.)

Here's the "matcha." Real matcha on left for comparison.

RIP for sure, I am missing it more than I thought I would, so I'm looking for a new one. I thought you had a more flaired cup, or do you have two?

I have three! I bought the first one (the one here,) then I got a set of two smaller, flared teacups. One of them has the spiral on the inside bottom.

Finally getting around to posting here, lots of admin stuff today.

Fave tea, well, Japanese green for sure. I am having a hard time thinking which one, but I am going with Kame Gyokuro from O-Cha. Yeah, definitely. This is tied for best gyokuro I have ever had. Awesome.

I will be watching the Super Bowl, not sure how much I will pay attention to it. I enjoy football however.

Started the TeaDay with Yutaka Midori, shuweeet. SweeTea likes it too much. Wulong was perched on my shoulders, she is getting to big for this custom. :D

I am behind TeaDay schedule, need to get brewing.

Green tea was my number one after my first O-Cha purchase. It will continue to be my go-to tea.

I'm probably the least interested person when it comes to football. So Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl keeps me amused all day. You can't beat puppies romping around a miniature football field.

Yutaka Midori right now. I just cleaned all my teaware so I figured I deserved a treat

Here is the oolong I am enjoying at the moment from Jing Tea Shop.
I can almost tell how good an oolong will be by how lively and sparkling
the color is.

Hhmmnn, my favorite tea for the month was probably green kukicha from Den's. I had no idea what to expect from it, but ordered a bunch of samples and included it in the mix. Surprise... it's turning out to be a favorite. Great green flavor and very forgiving as far as water temp and brew time. I haven't managed to mess it up yet, which is saying a lot where Japanese greens are concerned.

I'll be watching the SuperBowl, but since the Colts are out I don't especially care who wins. I'm cheering the Steelers just because I think Arizona has no defense. As for SuperBowl evening tea, I haven't decided yet... what pairs well with chips and Cheetos???

There is a connection between tea and the Super Bowl.

In my household, hubby will be watching the Super Bowl and I will probably be making tea and bringing it to him  My guess is that he will want jasmine pearls. (See? It isn't only PG Tips with him any more.)

Watching football for me is like staring at a clock. Nothing seems to happen. Run, run, (fall); run (fall), run run run (fall). Now hockey, that is a different story.....

Long Jing this morning. Matcha coming up..
