I really do have a thing for Long Jing leaves. They're very beautiful.
Really tough call and great topic, Chamekke, but ultimately, I love the look of Chinese greens, so amazing. A top notch Long Jing is beguiling, or Cha Wang TaiPing Hou Kui? These two stand out in my mind at the moment. Zhu Ye Qing is another.
Started the day with Den's Shin Ryoku. A nice surprisingly mellow sencha. I will crank up the amount of leaf next time and see what happens. TeaSweetie returned after missing tea yesterday.

I am in agreement that a high grade dragon well looks amazing. Also tea such as Jasmine Pearls are beautiful to look at.
I almost voted for oolongs because I enjoy looking at high grade pouchongs and Ti Quan Yins, but that is more to study their dry structure than admiring beauty--if they even are seperate qualities.
Pouchong for me today.

caligatia - congrats on your new bike!
In my cup now: Floating Leasves Tea - Buhhha Hand
I think this is the best of the new oolong offerings.
Very full and round, nice feel and taste.

Otsuusan sencha in a few minutes. Not the most beautiful leaves, but good karigane sencha.

I love zhu ye qing leaves too! A friend mentioned to me that a specific way of brewing zhu ye qing is counting 100 leaves by hand first, and then brew them. However, I am not that obsessive or patient to do it

But absolutely love the leaves!

They were on Ebay - a site that sold almost exclusively Chinese clothes - but had 700 yixing pots - I bought a varied selection of 8 - and when they arrived 5 or 6 I loved immediately - including 2 by Wang Xiao Fei. As I kept my eyes on the site over the next couple of months the number available dropped to 490 - So I promptly ordered all the remaining Wang Xiao Fei pots - they were all between $20 and $30 and the more you ordered the [per item] shipping costs dropped exponentially.
Best wishes from Cheshire

Temomicha for me. (Special Hand Rubbed Sencha)
This stuff was just breathtaking. I really really hope that it'll be available this year.
Today's cup: mingjian four seasons winter oolong from Lupicia.

Morning all! Congrats Cali on the BRAND NEW BICYCLE!
Dry leaves, hmmm? I'm partial to bi lo chun, although some of the fancy shapes are cool, like the fire rings ToT had this fall. Also very pretty, the Golden Spring black tea from Adagio. Gotta put in a vote for WestLake Dragonwell.
Starting the morning with Matcha and the last of the tangelos from our last grocery trip. Poppet supervises.

Thanks! the orange (tangelo, actually!) was delicious! I know lots of people like sweets with their matcha, but I think nothing beats a sweet, juicy orange, tangelo or clementine. mmmmmm!
