Yeah I got it to work!

I walked into my classroom and saw this and thought of you geekgirl! Please appreciate the photo for what the pic is rather than a great well shot photo.

One of my first graders made the crane last year during the japanese unit and my coteacher stuck it in the flowers yesterday.

Chip- ok only sencha in my cup- used it this am to finish some chinese green i had to sample. Gorgeous cup!!

Switched over to my mystery asamushi for the afternoon. Milk oolong is just too weird for my tastes. Crazy strange stuff.

The simple pleasures of asamushi are so wonderful though.

It makes me think of Juicy Fruit gum. But I like it. :)

Really? It tastes like that japanese milk candy to me. With a little bit of oolong mixed in.

Since I'm new to tea, I have zero experience with shincha or new harvest teas. But I'm looking forward to finding out what the excitement is about.

Drinking white grapefruit at the moment.

Sinchaaaaa....since O-cha's YM sincha was my first sencha and it was so good I can't wait....besides I am so ready for spring anyway!!

Warm breezes, sweet sunshine and sincha...bring it on!

Happy sipping,

YM sHincha was mind blowing last Spring. I am hoping for an encore! There is always some variability from year to year, harvest to harvest.

Matcha tasting, Ryu Mei which is OK and Matcha Source Morning Matcha. Not impressed with the Matcha Source one, quite astringent...bitter, shivered me timbers. Still, SweeTea liked it. :?

I am certainly looking forward to it.......I just wish we could know more precisely when it will occur :( ......perhaps down to the very second! Anyway, about to brew either some matcha or karigane......havent decided yet though.....

Should you? More a matter of can you, certainly. I plan to more or less dedicate hagi since the clay and glaze is rather porous! I am not sure if any I get would touch anything but Japanese greens :!: :?: :!:

I am currently enjoying Fukamushi Supreme from O-Cha in this new member to the family. Big sucka, holding 14ish ounces. It is by Yamane Seigan.
*sigh* that hagi style always reminds me of some sort of frosted-doughnut or something, but I can never quite remember what exactly...

 6 months ago, I thought most hagi was almost hideous, it can easily grow on you.

Until you touch one, hold one, feel it exude a pleasing warm and subtle moistness ... a picture just doesn't recreate the experience.

Yay! SHINCHA! I'm looking forward to it very very much.

Currently, my cup is empty, but I should remedy that soon.

I think I'm looking forward to shincha, but I actually still have two unopened bags from O-Cha from last season. I was all excited and then I moved onto other teas. *Hangs head in shame*

I seem to have weird food-tea associations but yeah, Juicy Fruit gum. Not as strong, but something about the sweetness hits a similar note.

Sadly, milk candy and corn candy are forever linked in my mind - I grabbed what I thought was a milk candy out of my candy stash without paying attention to the name on the wrapper (but come on - it had COWS on it!) and it was corn candy, which is really shocking when you aren't expecting it. So I don't think anything could remind me of milk candy except oddly flavored corn.

WTH? Corn candy? I don't think i've ever tried something like that. Is it like corn nuts or something?
