Ha +1. So, are you still snorting, or freebasing now?

In my spare time, I hang out on school playgrounds and hand out free samples to the kids, get 'em hooked when they are young, I say!

It has most definitely been an oolong month.

It isn't my fault: I have been recommending Kame giru shi for about a year.

Gonna have to go with Taiwan, due to some new and standby delicious taiwanese oolongs for the month. As usual, Matcha is #1 for me, but that's boring, so I chose my 2nd fav this time around.

Two totally exciting things this week: New teacups, here's one:

Aaaaand... the CROCUS are blooming, heralding spring! As Sal requested last week, here are the CROCUS!

Beautiful owl cups Geek! Love how the eyes seem to glow and match the oolong.
Nice shot!

I picked China for me! I've been on a huge white tea kick this month and adagio has some nice white teas from Fujian!

No white for me yet today, been drinking some fresh roasted houji-kukicha that I roasted myself today! Deliciousss! :)

Hi All,

I picked Japan...no matter what other tea I have enjoyed in a day, I want some Japanese too!

This month I've also really enjoyed tea from Ceylon (Ceylon Sonata) and China (TKY) (both from Adagio). I think Ceylon and oolongs will have permanent spots on my tea shelf!!! The Ceylon is just so very smooth and drinkable and comforting. The TKY has the most amazing aroma...I can't wait to try more.

I've got a birthday coming up and tea is on my list...from reading posts here on teachat, I've decided that since I enjoy the TKY so much, I must try pouchong/baozhong, Jade Oolong, and Ali Shan. I'd love to hear from anybody that has favorite places for ordering these teas and/or other suggestions.

Right now, I'm enjoying my first cup of Yunnan Jig from my Adagio samples. I like it a lot...very different flavor than any other black I've tried, strong, but not "mean" and after I took a sip, I immediately wanted more! It is cold and cloudy here today and this tea is greatly warming my afternoon. Since I don't have a book to curl up with, I'll spend the afternoon shopping for the teas that are on my birthday list! What a sweet way to laze away a cold afternoon!!!

Live well,
Dreamer

Geek, that's a great owl cup, and CROCUS, yay!

I'm so ready for this looooong winter to be over, but I think on my side of the state it might be a while coming - we had some snow last week and one of my staff was snowed in at his house up in the mountains!

So looking forward to the time change and extra daylight!!
Getting home after dark is a bummer.

In my cup this afternoon a nice Dancong from Jing Tea Shop.

Lovely photo of crocuses (and bee), Geekgirl!

I like your owly teacup, too. Just discovered recently that in Japan the owl is considered a symbol of good luck because its name contains a play on words: fukurou is the word for "owl", while the syllables can also mean "no" (fu) and "hardship/trouble" (kurou). So, having an owl around means that you won't have problems!... making owl-themed gifts ideal for newlyweds.

I'm still not sure why it's used so frequently as a design for chakouro, though. Maybe that's why?
