This was asked around a year ago, but we have a lot of new members and I think even many of us are continuing to change. So, are your teacups, the ones you actually use, getting bigger, staying the same, getting smaller?

My cups have definately gotten smaller. I almost exclusively use tasting cups now.

Had a cup of Jingmai white from Amai today.

I voted getting smaller. I used to just drink out of the same mug I've used for everything else, which happens to be the only mug I brought to college :P I'm now using a teacup that hold around 6 ounces, which is probably only 60% of the mug.

Currently enjoying a cup of White Monkey Paw =)

Staying the same: gongfu-ish = 2-4oz, other style = 5-7oz.

This morning is 4oz covered cup from Nikko Japan, which I suspect is the Japanese equivalent of Princess House here in the States.

Onion flowers are totally manly! Just like daisies!
Well, the thought behind them being manly is 1) they are white with blue and blue is manly and 2) onions make you cry and so do mean boys, so the onion cup goes to the mean boy. Not that my cousin is mean, but he is kinda tough.

And before you ask, yes, that is seriously my thought process as to why those cups are my most manly ones.

Seemed appropriate, it's drizzly today.

I loved the dogwood flowers in your pic today, Sal. Dogwoods are my favorite flower.

About the same for me.

Oh, and this morning I enjoyed Matcha Zen (made by a 12th Generation Tea Master Okimasa) and today I've been enjoying my new tin of Sencha Kyo no Tsuyu (Kyoto Dew Sencha) from Maikotea. I've had a ton of it today actually, and shared some around as there was such interest in the tin with the Maiko (geisha in training) on it, though its box was first mistaken for a box of tissues!

I'm still using the same 250ml curved blue mugs I pretty much always have. I've had for over a year a couple of small yixing cups (30-40ml) that are great for aged pu-erh and oolong but not really any appropriate pot the one they came with is way too big being around 600ml  Was still a great gift from my brother who doesn't know a whole lot about tea, the pot is still nice for making a couple of mugs full of shu pu-erh and the cups will surely find use when I find a teeny yixing pot to match them :)

Started off with a cup of organic certified long jing I bought from a local shop after breakfast today. :)

Hi All,

I'd say vs. a year ago, definitely smaller...even for blacks at home I use a smaller cup since I want it to stay warm and I don't want to have to reheat in the microwave.

This morning I had a resteep of Assam from yesterday. Right now I'm enjoying TKY in a new cup.

Enjoy,
Dreamer

Now anything over 5oz seems huge. I prefer around 4oz.
I remember that cup very well. :)

Since last year my cups have stayed at around 40 mL for Chinese tea and 10 oz for Japanese. I also have some 8 oz white porcelain English teacups that I like. I'm still looking for a good cup at the 3 oz mark.

As I get lazier my cups get bigger. Less trips to the kettle and teapot.

Getting to the dregs of my Ali shan stash. Looking forward to trying the autumn harvest Tie Guan Yin from Rich Barbarian.

PG tips filled my cup for the first time ever today. Wasn't bad really. Wegman's was offering free i house samples.

Fortunately, that was not the highlight of the TeaDay, moved on to Fukamushi Supreme from O-Cha which was great as always. SweeTea had a bonus tea today.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
