My steeps have been getting smaller, a year ago I would use a 600ml pot and roughly a teaspoon of leaves...I'd have one mug of tea then when I finished it have the second which was sitting in the pot still infusing the whole time I drank the first mug!
Now I just use a 250ml pot and make one mug at a time, with slightly more leaves than I used in the 600ml pot. Next step is a 120ml Gaiwan I picked from DHT for the lovely design.
First tea today was a cup of Jasmine Dragon Tears.

Hmmm, nobody's steeps are getting bigger?

Something I just thought of, when I joined the 2 tea forums I still am a member of in 2006, I don't think I ever used the word "steep" ... always the more pretentious "infusion" instead.

Whatever the significance of this is in relation to the topic, I don't know.
Recently semi finished up a very nice session of Li Shan oolong from the WTE last May, shared with a special friend over the phone. Very aromatic and delicious.

Today has been a good tea day so far. Finished a bag of Mem's Organic Wuyi Oolong, then finished a bag of Imperial's Huang Shan Mao Feng, and finally leveled off with O-Cha Yutaka Midori. My son is leaving in the morning so I'm planning to break out the gaiwan and my good dancong tonight.
Have a good weekend folks.

Me, too. I use my infuser and mug most of the time since most of my tea drinking is done at work.
Once in a long while I'll brew a pot at home. I actually have a pot at work but never use it since the tea would definately get cold before I could finish it.
Darjeeling again today

Hope everyone is enjoying their evening!

I just indulged in my first brewing of sheng! It was a bit of 2001 Yiwu Zhengshan Old Tree! Definitely a pleasant experience! Especially compared to the shu I had last night. I'm afraid shu just probably isn't for me! Though I must say, I am thoroughly enjoying this sheng!

I love it! So now that I don't have to use a taster set, I'll probably be doing some nice sheng after I do some dishes!
That's a beautiful gaiwan you have there. I'm jealous.

Larger for me if you consider a 'matcha bowl' a cup!!!
But really, smaller all the time as I prefer
Japanese greens as the tea of choice.
Now, I need more cups

Shelob, I'll bet you'd have some customers from TeaChat if you were to make some.

(not-so-subtle hint here!) You could be the "unofficial" TeaChat potter!

Yes, I have given that some thought, figured once I got back to my studio loft I would contact the mods to get permissions needed! See rules #s 8 and 9 under introduction. I did not join TC to solicite sales of my items and I would not want anyone to perceive that notion. {And I believe it is evident that is true.}
However, I do make an awesome what I call "squishy cup" with small indentations on the sides just perfect for fingers to grasp

I will hopefully be making 3 as gifts to Teachatters who have given my tea, a cup and a gorgeous gaiwan.
Thanks for thinking of me geeber1! Hope you enjoy your teas and have a Fab TeaDay.
In my cup right now, Japanese Green which one, oops! I don't remember.

Oh, yeah, I figured it could be an "on the side" kind of thing, I wouldn't want you to get in trouble and I know you wouldn't be a "bad" TeaChatter.
Lots of people on here shop on etsy.com, so I was thinking it would be something along those lines, not directly through TeaChat. Anyhoo, just a thought!

Yeah if you are not on Etsy, you should be! I'd love to see your stuff and you could probably sell a lot of stuff that you have in your studio already. I am always searching Etsy for teabowls, that's how I found Fred Parker.
