Wow! Im impressed with how much tea you guys/gals drink.
I figured up the smallest, less than 56grams a month. I drink about 1-2 grams per day but infuse them about 3 times. I probably expect too much out of the small amount of tea but I like the range of stong taste of first infusions and lighter taste in the 3rd infusion.
2006 Guoyan Nannuo pu erh in my cup this evening.
I really need a digital scale for pu because I used to much leaf and even at 10 sec. after 4 infusions it was bitter

but even so I enjoyed it.

I did rough math...about 5 grams of two teas per day for 30 days gave me 300 grams. Now that I've done this calculation, I'll kind of be watching to see if that runs true.
This morning I brewed up some oolong for my travel mug...so busy at work that I didn't really get to savor it. Tea buddy at work made Mata Vane for us and that became the best part of a long semi-boring meeting!
Just now I polished off a nice bowl of hot foamy matcha...I have been staying up too late and getting up too early for a few days, so I need that calm alertness that matcha brings.
I'm anxiously awaiting an order from Den's...the cherry sencha, the sample kit, the extra kyusu for my greens and one of their glazed ceramic pots for everything else. I've also got a couple of Ceylon orders coming too. Then I'm NOT ordering anything else till sincha-time! I'll be set for a while...except I want to try a really aromatic green-ish oolong...still shopping for that one.
Happy evening, morning, afternoon (wherever you are),
Dreamer

Good teas today. After Sencha Premier, had Matcha Tori from Yuuki-Cha, Gyokuro Yame from Zencha, and lastly Chiran Supreme from O-Cha.
As always, enjoying the responses to the topic.

I figured somewhere between 10 and 14 oz a month. Probably closer to 14. I've been drinking a lot more tea lately, but I'm really not that sure. I don't tend to weigh my teas, I just eyeball it and experiment until I get the right amount of leaf for what I'm doing.
Started my day with some Ceylon Sonata from Adagio, had two steeps of that.
Mid-day through dinner I had three steeps of Silver Needle from Adagio. First time trying this tea.
Now I'm on my second steep of Vanilla Rooibos. This is one of my favorite rooibos flavors I think.
And I ordered a gaiwan, cup, and aroma cup set today! Can't wait to get it in, and can't wait until I have more money in my tea fund for more things, because I found a lot more things today that I want... I think I'm officially hooked now.

Ugh, math is not my forte, however I do drink alot of tea during each day, so I roughly calculated going by the other posts, 16 ounces or less.
I normally have at least 4 sessions per day, sometimes 5 using the SLT at the end of the evening.
Congrats GT500 on your new acquistions...i.e. TeaToys!

I was wondering
Chip, has there been a poll about how many different teas we have open at one time or we consume in a month's time? That might be fun.

Wow, I've never tracked my tea consumption that way. As a WAG, I'd say between 4-6 ounces

Probably what kind of tea would that be that you usually drink?
