Happy April Fool's!

having some Golden Spring to quell the laughter- there's a lot of fun jokes/pranks online. Check out this other tea company, Narien Teas' 'Specialty Tea'

Further update: today is Xine's last day, she is being replaced by 101 Teavana pushmeisters.

LOL, thought Geek was playing along to the max.

I am half expecting to hear from Teavana's legal team sometime today. I think I am safe in the TeaCave however. 8)

BTW, I am sending an authentic Hagi original to everyone who PMs me in the next 60 minutes.

Started the day with Fukamushi Supreme. I completely blew the pour because I was not paying attention to what I was doing and completely clogged the screen. Each steep took an eternity to pour and as a result oversteeped. SweeTea did patiently wait. Wulong, Pyrit, TEAh lost interest however and quickly departed. :(

Have a happy April Fool's Day everyone!

And seriously, thanks for the photos HerbMaster and Sal!

I'm sure you could send a piece to everyone here on TeaChat and we wouldn't mind! (or deplete your supply!)

Does this mean Adagio owns Multiple Infusions now? http://multipleinfusions.com/2009/04/in-new-hands/

No tea yet, since I decided to sleep in before school today

Also, I think that's my favorite emoticon:

hehe, I'll probably have some dragonwell when I get home, then some Sencha Overture after a little while. Really wish I had a day off work to enjoy some more tea... Might make a travel mug up later to enjoy at work...

And if Adagio really did buy out Teavana, that would be awesome. I was thinking, "Wow, I'm going to have to make a trip, I think someone said there was a Teavana in Nashville, I'll have to hit it up now." Then I realized what day it was, and decided I'd have some trouble reading things online today because of my gullibility.

I have a feeling I'm going to be hurting for tea soon, since my budget's depleted.... You'll know when I'm out...

*starts rocking back and forth slowly thinking about not having any more tea, shivers at the thought of breaking open the lipton bags we've had for a few years now*

Chip, it was great thought. Despite the bad press that Teavana gets, I will continue to buy some teas from them. I like the option of getting quality tea from local merchants and will support them. The salespeople are pushy are they aren't very knowledgeable, but their tea is fresh, its quality is good and their prices are fair. I don't know that Adagio's price point would allow them to succeed in Teavana's expensive locations, but it was a great thought.

I'm still drinking Jing's Imperial Bai Ji Guan (7th infusion in a Chatsford pot 8) not a joke), and I'm ALSO drinking Ippodo gyokuro from a teabag! This gyo is on its 4th infusion with the bag steeped at 140F in a 6oz Teavana Japanese cup with a crane on it. This is tasty bag tea. It's mild and smooth and it stills shows some umami after its fourth infusion.

Have a great Eatay Ayday Olksfay! (YAPR - yet another pig reference)

P.S. My new pot just arrived!

Oh, if only. 8)

Started the morning with White Assam that Victoria sent some time ago. It was light and sweet, and now onto Valentines tea.

Lots of extra choir rehearsal hours this week for a Palm Sunday evening concert we're hosting with Steve Green. I need plenty of caffeine built up pre-rehearsal and will look for something lighter afterwards late tonight.
Another snowstorm may be moving in this afternoon and even another forecast for Saturday. Springtime in the Rockies!

That wouldn't happen to be from "Fully Loaded Teas" now would it? Katya and Olga have some pretty interesting blends. I'm a big fan of the Tomato Rebel Black Tea. Tastes like a lightly spiced tomato bisque! :-)

Happy April Fool's Day!!!
Having a really great tea shop locally would be awesome news! But with the internet I can shop all over the world anyway!

In my cup today:
This morning my tea buddy brewed Adagio's Yunnan Jig...she brewed it strong and long and it was awesome! Reading the description I never would have guessed I'd like this tea, but it is great...It is the first (and so far only) black that I am dis-inclined to sweeten...probably because the flavor is so different that it doesn't taste like my brain's definition of "tea". I think this tea would be great with breakfast food (I've not had the opportunity to try it with food yet).

Earlier this afternoon, a friend stopped by just as I was starting to brew some of O-cha's kabusecha...she's a tea drinker and loves to try new tea, so I actually got to share Japanese green tea with someone...what a treat!

Right now, I'm having Den's Fukamushi Sencha Special...I was thinking that I was almost out of Japanese greens, but remembered that I got this tea with the "kyusu gift set" that I ordered recently. I like it, nice sweet tea with a nice clear green color.

Keep laughing,
