Yes, I've been bitten by the "sincha bug"...the first "sencha" I had was YM "sincha" last spring...I loved it and I can't wait to try it again for the very first time (gotta tell myself that to remind myself that it might not taste the same as last time, but I bet it will be good!).
I've not had nearly enough tea today...some Kenilworth Ceylon in my travel mug for work this morning...wild day at work and a busy evening...no tea since then
Right now I'm headed for a nice pitcher of iced tea...2nd steep, so not much caffeine so I can enjoy a cool sweet glass or two this late in the day.
Have a great weekend all,

2007 was argueably a bit of a down year for YM, but 2008 was a banner year for YM, perhaps the best ever for me.Dreamer wrote:Yes, I've been bitten by the "sincha bug"...the first "sencha" I had was YM "sincha" last spring...I loved it and I can't wait to try it again for the very first time (gotta tell myself that to remind myself that it might not taste the same as last time, but I bet it will be good!).
2007 was a banner year for Hatsumi, while 2008 was a bit of a down year.
I am hoping this is not a prophetic statement.

Sipping "soggy leaf tea" tonight and eagerly awaiting the morning tea!
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

Speaking of shincha (I was careful not to use this term in the question/poll), SHINCHA is on its way to my house officially from Yuuki-Cha. Kagoshima Magokoro which is an organic Yutaka Midori.
I've heard that shincha that comes out later in the season is often better but I just couldn't resist. I'm looking forward to hearing how you like it!
Kagoshima Magokoro here too, even tough i didn't realize what i was ordering at the time. i had my first matcha from eden organics http://www.edenfoods.com/store/product_ ... _id=110520 and got hooked. i ordered the lovely travel set from Yuuki-cha (worked great in my 2 weeks trip to brazil): http://www.yuuki-cha.com/Organic+Matcha ... Kit+Nodate.
Yuuka-cha was the first place i read about "shincha" and the fresh harvest concept of organic tea looked appealing and decided to give it a try. just now i realized how many shinchas are out there. after reading postings on teachat i ended up placing a order for the so praised temomi as well.
very excited here waiting to try all those gourmet teas!

I haven't taken the shincha plunge YET... trying to wait for some early reviews. I have, however, taken the Darjeeling FF plunge, and will definitely reorder more... I never have to worry about an unreasonable surplus of Darjeeling in my house... it goes quickly.

You people brewing Pu in hot dog water are in BIG trouble with the animal rights police... and all this time, I thought it was just Oscar Meyer being abused.
