Reuse them for other teas.

I don't have that many extra small tins kicking around, so I reuse them.

Irish breakfast this morning.

Happy Earth Day, Earthlings!

I keep them, but haven't had much use for them. The seal on the adagio sample tins isn't as good as some of the others I have laying around. Lupicia tins get reuused a lot at my place since they stack quite nicely and I have a lot of them.

So I guess i'm building my tea tin house.

Grats on your 3 years chip!

Happy Admin day for all the admins in the house!

Lupicia Serene Forest this morning. I love this stuff, it's going on my very short reorder list.

I've never bought tea in a tin, but I would undoubtably re-use them.

Ben Shan in my teaglass right now; It's floral notes reflect the ever growing levels of spring in the air.

Sal - Gorgeous cup/gaiwan today! I love how you can see the tea through it. Where did you get it?

Agreed! The contents are what really counts, but that cup and Yutaka Midori is really stunning, Sal!

Next up. Fukamushi Supreme from O-Cha. Yummm.

For my 3rd anniversary, I will make it easy, you all can just get me this! And its contents of course. :D

I reuse the tins for other teas, of course. I... have a lot of tins.

Trying something new this afternoon: (old harvest) Tencha-Kuki Houjicha from Den's. It reminds me of the way sunflower seeds smell. In a good way! Huzzah for impulse purchases.

There's currently quite the glut of tea in the house, as I placed four separate orders over the course of a month. I might have a problem.*

*There's no more storage space.

Most of the options would apply under some circumstances or other. I would have used a really good tin to gift my administrative professional today--she is so good that I almost don't mind observing a stupid Hallmark moment in her honor. But she only drinks coffee, so I got her really good dark chocolate instead and kept the tea for myself.

Last cup was Lu An Gua Pian.

It is a nice cup, but I don't remember where I got it ... it was a random pick to fill out an order from some Japanese vendor when I ordered some stuff using a Japanese agent.

As for the transparency, it is not nearly as apparent with normal lighting. To wit:

Ahh... that explains the mysterious (to me) question.

{blush} Thanks!

P.S. Note to self ... MUST READ THREAD IN FULL before posting comment.

Happy Anniversary, Chip!
Well hey, I was way off. I wasn't thinking differenter enough.

Happy Anniversary, Chip!

Gah, grass style... I can never read it. The last symbol in the main column has the 'stone' radical on it, so I'll guess it's some form of stoneware for tea... a set of drinking cups?

The few tins that I have will wind up with tea in them that came un-tinned.

A great TeaDay continued. Yame Matcha earlier with my wife. Then a sencha teabag from O-Cha which continues to impress me, floral, hay, sweet.

I am not saying what's in the box, yet!
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
