Maybe because the cry of the peacocks is from The Domination of Black and The General is interested in Puerh.

Of all the peacocks from last year, the Menghai is the one I keep thinking I need to get a bing of. I remember my sample as really very nice.

Nice poem. I just never got fired up about the peakcocks because I can get the other cakes for $9, I guess its really not that big of a diff, maybe I'll get one this year.

Just to remind everyone, the Silver Peacock is not part of the Peacock series that we've come to know from last year. The Silver Peacock is a premium blend cake more similar to the Dayi Hong. I don't think they've produced this since 2006.

hmm, may have to get one now. Should they be superior to 8582 or 7542?

Well I think their goal is to roll this out as a higher end offering, so technically from a marketing standpoint it is better than the 8582 or 7542. However these newer recipes are ultimately unproven, so only time will tell. Being a blend of Mengsong and Bulang tea though sounds very very interesting to me! I'm definitely going to order a sample.

by nonc_ron » May 16th, '09, 22:19

Hi,
I've just left eBay, Yunnan Sourcing where I did a search for "2009 Pu-erh"
39 results were found. I was able to buy 7 cakes before my money ran out. :?
Maybe you will have better luck.

I'm with shogun . . . love the poem. My daughter tells me that peacocks are bad luck? Or with their tails down, maybe (she's not here at the moment)?

You can get those great prices, but you're in the wrong country.

8582 (801) $4.10

7542 (801) $7.32

That does it. I'm moving!
Well, I finally got throught to these guys and they told me
A) they don't speak English
b) they don't ship to America

Thanks. For nothing!

OK ,
Here are two
2009 Menghai 7572 901
2009 Menghai Silver Peacock
My point was, with 39 choices anyone could find something they like.

Another note, On some of his Pu-erh pages he says.
"Buy 7 cakes and get the 8th FREE!"
I thought he meant buy a Tong.
But I emailed him anyway.
I asked and got a free 8th. cake

That's the shu that I've mentioned.

It's still right at the top of the YS Menghai list.
