Out of the choices, Raiders. Harrison Ford is awesome! I had a huge crush on him ever since I was five :P

But I think my all-time favorite movie so far is Hot Fuzz. It makes me laugh every time I watch it. Who knows, it's bound to change though

Ceylon in my cup today.

This is definately what the UPS man looks like delivering my tea! He must be like, "What's up with this guy getting packages from China and Japan every week!!!"

I believe the UPS man is the true master of tea. eh, never mind... he's just my supplier

I would have to go with raiders.

Oops, I forgot to give my fave from the list! :?
The Silence of the Lambs squeaks out The Godfather.

Still waiting patiently for my next tea

Has anyone availed themselves of the Lochan Teas First Flush offer of 12 one-oz samples of 2009 FF for $35? I can’t think of any reason not to order it except the usual: I already have way too much tea.
365th go Sal ! :)

re Lochan, i think Proinsias recently posted a link to Mattcha's Blog and the pics of those leafs look nice, tho the taste notes do remind me that i'm not a fan of DJ... yet, havent had any 'good' ones i'm wondering if i should go for it...
so then, i emailed Lochan to see if they recommend getting the 1st flush or wait -

"I think you could go with the 1st Flush 2009 sample pack. The 2nd Flush is still some time off and teas in the 1st Flush sample pack are quite high quality and are not readily available"

One of my favorites?

To Kill a Mockingbird. Gregory Peck made many great movies - that was one of his most memorable performances, like 'Moby Dick'.

Others: Das Boot. Babettes Feast. The Grapes of Wrath. 2001:A Space Odyssey. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Ben Hur. The Wizard of Oz. Citizen Kane. The Shawshank Redemption. Schindler's List. The Red Violin. The Piano. Some Like it Hot. Musicals like 'Singin' in the Rain' and 'Paint Your Wagon'.

Keemun in my cup this morning.
And I'll agree right back with ya on Mockingbird, Grapes and Paint your Wagon. Those easily make my top 10 list...

I would watch these classics everyday compared to 90% of the crap on TV now...

From the list, most definitely Star Wars. In actuality, I always liked Return of the Jedi better than the other two in the original trilogy, but my all time favorite movie is the Princess Bride.

Currently in my cup is cold brewed Guricha, which I have found much more enjoyable than brewing it hot.

The first flush Darjeelings are usually thought of as a completely different type of tea from the second flush, even made differently: lighter, sometimes more floral, and generally more oolong-like.

Mattcha seems to be making these Darjeelings in a very East Asian brewing style, sort of semi-gong fu. I have not yet applied that style successfully to tea from the subcontinent, though I think Proinsias--always a brewing maverick--has done so. I prefer a lazy European style: 2.5 to 3.0 gr leaf to 6 oz boiling water for 3 m, 4 m, 6 m, and more if the tea will go that far. Sarah (kymidwife) and many others like to use somewhat cooler water for the first flush Darj.

Thanks everyone for the kind words on the one-year anniversary of my obsessive-compulsive behavior!

Mrs. Chip, I also loved Boxing Helena years ago. May have to go back to revisit that one.

Congratulations Sal!!

In my cup this afternoon - white rose from Rituals in The Netherlands.

A lovely white tea with the most gentle calming rose. It is just amazing.

I've only seen 5 of those movies.. Star Wars only when I was little and 6 if you count Braveheart that my teacher made the class watch in 9th grade but I had my head down the whole time. (I can't stand bloody movies)

Of the list I'd say Star Wars. It was a big part of my childhood.

My favorite movie would have to be Monty Python's Holy Grail. You cannot deny its awesomeness.

Having some ceylon tea right now, next up is some Yutaka Midori I'm trying to finish before the shincha version arrrives.

And congrats to Sal for the beautiful pictures!

Just finished an exceptional session of Den's Zuiko asamushi 2008 with DW in a maiden session with my Bizen kyusu from Christmas. Not sure if it was my brilliant brewing or the the kyusu, but it was very very good.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

I've also been brewing the FF darjeelings this way, and have really enjoyed them. It seems (for me,) to be a sure way to get the most out of the mild, aromatic qualities.

Thanks everyone for the kind words on the one-year anniversary of my obsessive-compulsive behavior!
Since I'm also working on a daily project (though mine is only going 100 Days, and will conclude in 2 weeks,) I know intimately what a challenge it can be, so I'm very impressed that you've gone a full 365 and are still arriving with images that are pleasing and unique. Thanks for sharing them, and congrats on reaching that milestone!

I finally got around to the first use of my hard-won Deishi hagi chawan this morning. I posted the bowl in "show-off," but was especially enchanted with the brilliant tea powder against the pristine white of the brand-new bowl. It tasted wonderful too. This was the last of my Wakamatsu from Ippodo.

I've never seen a Lego UPS man!

Thanks, Salsero, for your lovely photos every day! Here's to another 365 and beyond!

There are too many good movies out there to pick one favorite. I tend to like old romantic movies like 'The Ghost and Mrs. Muir', however, I just watched one of my favorite Westerns this morning: 'Last of the Dogmen.'

Today I've been drinking multiple cups of Ceylon Sonata. My dear daughter shared her cold germs with me and the Ceylon is just hitting the spot.

I'm a huge Tarantino fan, and Pulp Fiction has been my favorite movie since 1998, when I first saw it in college (I'm getting into advanced age, i know)

Saturdays usually mean a good variety of tea for me. So far I've had YM shincha, a kukicha (in the spirit of the moment after two pots of shincha), and a 2009 HuangZhou Long Jing from Jingteashop. The latter is by far the favorite tea of this year!
