Geekgirl, drink from it in good health!
Unfortunately, I will have to wait awhile to see what my gift box holds as it is being sent to my wife who is 7000 miles away in S.F.!, and, who won't return until near the end of the month. Can you imagine the suspense I will have to live with till then?
Cory may be one of a dying breed of people who actually enjoy being alive!

Kinda like christmas ........

“Take some more tea,” the March Hare said to Alice, very earnestly.
“I’ve had nothing yet,” Alice replied in an offended tone: “so I ca’n’t take more.”
“You mean you ca’n’t take less,” said the Hatter: “it’s very easy to take more than nothing.”

I am also loving all the great pictures in here. It's sort of becoming the
DRINK MORE MATCHA thread.
Funny, a couple years ago almost no one in TeaChat drank matcha ... I assumed it was a weird and noxious concoction that was too bitter and unpleasant for anything except the Japanese tea ceremony.
I remember Chip mentioning drinking it and I thought, "
What an enormous sacrifice just to say you have tried all kinds of tea."

chip
thanks
shino is an old glaze. mainly a feldspathic glaze. lots of different kinds of feldspar. original shino from momoyama period in Mino and Seto.
carbon trap shino is a american shino. not original
one of the most amazing potters from the 20th century is Kato Tohkuro who was shino meister. one of his specialty is murasaki shino.
i will continue to explore shino on my journey !
when i get back from japan, i'll work on some murasaki shino. hehe ! this is a cool process and i rediscovered how kato sensei did this !
