I love it. I don't have it often because I don't want to get bored with it. I usually have a bagged version from Tazo, which is pretty good, and the loose one from Adagio, that is awesome. It's the only tea I put milk and sugar in - another reason I don't drink it a lot.

I've also tried the Spiced Green from Adagio, and it's pretty good. Reminds me a lot of the spices in Masala.

Today: My first go with Ali Shan - Very nice. It's crazy how much the leaves expand!

I LOVE chai. It is my staple on cold winter evenings. The Rishi premixed stuff is decent.

I like the occasional masala chai. For me it's usually a cold-weather drink.

Having said that... I think I'll try making some this weekend, chilling it, and serving it up as an Iced Masala Chai Latte. Never tried that!

I've never had Masala Chai...I'm extremely allergic to ginger so restaurant fare and commercial mixes are a big no no...I'd like to try it but making a blend from scratch seems a lot of work for something I'm not sure I will like. :?

Ginger isn't necessary in a chai, many blends without it. I suggest green kashmiri chai!!! mmmmmmmmm beefaay! well maybe not beefy, but tasty indeedaroni.

Just had a cup of ginger cardamom masala chai chai!!!! MMMMM

Cooled it, threw it into the Vita-Mix (2 HP industrial blender) with crushed ice... added some orange zest just because I'm in a zesty mood... blended... and sipping a pleasant masala chai frozen frappa-latte. Still very peppery!

LOVE the chai, so does my husband, although I haven't made any for awhile. Maybe tomorrow morning for his birthday. :)

I do enjoy a cup of spiced tea occasionally. It is rare that I drink or eat anything sweet.

today- No tea to drink. Water it is.

I haven't seen any blends without ginger, where can I buy them?

Today I'm drinking Autumn 08 Rou Gui...it's slightly flat I only had enough leaves for half a pot really. :? Still pretty tasty just not quite as good as if I had done it properly.

Please be careful if you do find one without ginger listed. Many companies blend all their products with the same equipment so cross-contamination is a BIG issue with allergens. (I can't give my son ANY flavored/blended teas because he is allergic to a few things that are sometimes used in blends.) Just make sure to call the company to ask if they are making their ginger blends on the same equipment.

Can someone post a recipe for the masala chai they make at home, please?
