It really depends on the day and my mood. Today, I'm feeling like a nice strong iced Houjicha.

In my cup this morning: A Bai Hao from a brand whose name I can't read on the packaging.

I voted black tea, but right now I have a pitcher black and green going. My wife very rarely drinks tea, so making it iced is one way I'm trying to convert her. Muahahahaha.

A recent iced blend I've tried:
I brewed a regular black tea, no frills. I then brewed up blood orange (the herbal on Adagio) and combined them, roughly 3 parts black tea 1 part blood orange.
No sugar. (I never add sugar.)
I have to say, it was pretty good!

An iced White Blueberry (also on Adagio) is really good as well.

I'm definitely with Herb Master on this one - Borage.
As soon as mine blooms it's going into black and green iced teas, and some salads.

I also dig mint in iced tea, but I'll have to buy some as all mine bit the dust earlier this spring :(

Today: Pu erh. I can't stop.

I cold brew some green tea and Taiwan oolong, without ice, without additives.
If I find a green or oolong very bitter, I would cold brew it. This saved quite a few teas, when the bitterness was not dissolved into water under lower temperature. :D

There is only one iced tea in our household, and it is black tea!

Lord it's hot today...103F/40C. I may need to bathe in the iced tea, too.

There are always two cups on my table.

I don't frequently drink iced tea unless it's really hot outside or in, but I do enjoy it. And when I do drink it, it's all kinds.

I particularly like to use a green or white because, when it's hot, those are going to be more cooling to the body. I'll also use herbs - you'd be surprised how a naturally sweet flavor in chamomile makes a nice iced tea and its soothing benefits are good too. You might try throwing in chrysanthemum as it's a cooling herb. But, I just think all tea makes good iced tea if you're in the mood for iced.

Today my tea this morning is a strong high roast mountain oolong from Chaikhana! Pow!

PS Herbmaster - I forgot to say yesterday that your photos of Borage and St. John's Wort were lovely... and two healthful herbs, too! :-)

I don't often make iced tea, but when I do, it's gotta be either black or oolong. No sugar if it's just for me.

The weather is being unkind today--started off sunny and hot, and is now merely warm and raining. Thunderstorm later, probably. Did I mention we're closing in on 5" rain for the month of June around here? Ugh.

I think some pouchong might brighten up my spirits.

Busy busy busy ... no time for tea it seems. I am trying to get to try new arrival Kukicha with Matcha from Maeda-en ... for the last 2 days. Seems everytime I think I am about to try it, something interupts.

However, I had Fukamushi Supreme from O-Cha earlier.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

Just made some with the last bit of leaf, quite good, but like it hot sooo much more. Time for a re-order!

Interesting though, sometimes people drink hot tea to induce perspiration, too bad that can be quite smelly. And not truly cool you off, too much heat gained I guess.

Masala chai next...!
