i personally dislike it when a vessel doesn't have a matching cup.

Yup, USD. I'm beginning to have that preference too.

I always wondered why the title of this post is "but I wish it were" instead of "but I wish it was" or "but I wish they were".

I agree. Some of the blue/seafoam color chiwans are causing some TAD.

I'm kinda liking the black smooth but distorted glazed chawans more though.. really nice pieces listed.

I don't care if it is authentic. I don't care if it has to sit on a shelf due to pigments in the clay. I want this.

Some amazing new pots on Artistic Nippon from Konishi Yohei's numbered series--really amazing how different each of these numbered pots are and yet how they all fit together. This one keeps catching my eye. Fortunately it's a bit pricey to I can appreciate it in safety without risk of accidental purchase...

I watch these appear quite intently as well. I seem to like artisans from Tokoname with names beginning with Y ... Yohei, Yokei, Yamada, Yoshiki ... and they are all pretty pricey.

Another amazing pot. It was hard to figure out which one to feature in my post, because they're all "wow!" awesome.
