Can't the next recipient just split it up into two boxes and send it to the next two people on the list to expedite the process?
Or better yet, split it up into three boxes, then send them to the next "even" numbered people on the list. Then, the even numbered people will again split it up into three more boxes and send them out to the next "odd" numbered people on the list. Then, we'll have the odd numbered people consolidate any multiple boxes into a single box and send it to their choice between the first, third or fifth person on this list. The first, third, or fifth person will then calculate the standard deviation between the total number of people on the list and the time that it takes each recipient to receive the box. If the standard deviation is less than or equal to three, we'll start all over again at the top of the alphabet. If it is over three, then we'll start at the end of the alphabet. Easy as pie.
Are you still reading this? I certainly hope not.
By the way, I can't remember if I'm even on the list. I'd love to play... but not if we use the idea described in my post.

In the process of unpacking at the new house, I now have the missing pass box. I intend to send it to PolyhymnianMuse today.
IMO, there's nothing wrong with someone starting a second pass box. Just call it something distinctive in its own thread so people don't get too confused about who's sending what to whom (any more than we are already, anyway).

i am having second thoughts about the second box. at least in that it should wait till this one is kaput. if you guys can add to the list i would like to be added and if ya'll decide to end this one please let me know and then we might start anew but two at the same time is confusing and i am already confused enough.
