Anyways, several of those pots are brand new. The 150 ml qingshuini is for yancha (opening seems big enough for yancha to me), the 150ml dicaoqing is for lightly oxidized oolong (TGY etc). The other three are TBD. Any suggestions?

I was thinking the 50ml zhuni could be another TGY pot. The 120ml benshanlvni could maybe be for the charcoal baked, and the 80ml zhuni could be...not sure maybe puer? Those are all of my yixing pots, so if you can think of a better way to dedicate them, I'm listening.
beachape,
My knowledge of what pots are best for what tea is limited. I'm always curious what people use benshan clay for though. It seems very different from other clays in the few teapots I've handled. It seems not as "hard" and thicker - maybe not as high fired?? I've heard it described as more absorbent and good for more floral/lighter/greener teas. While I own several yixing pots and do dedicate them to certain teas like you plan to, I do think you can actually use a pot for quite a few different teas as long as you rinse it with boiling water when done. That said I still wouldn't use an oolong pot for puerh, etc. I like this shape because the leaves can expand and I think the spouts tend to be wider and are certainly short so most pour fast. Let us know what you decide. :)

By the way, where did you get most of these, taobao?

On a Mac...Option+u+u

On a PC, there's an alt command, I only know the French accents, but could figure it out.
“Take some more tea,” the March Hare said to Alice, very earnestly.
“I’ve had nothing yet,” Alice replied in an offended tone: “so I ca’n’t take more.”
“You mean you ca’n’t take less,” said the Hatter: “it’s very easy to take more than nothing.”

Ha, it works on a pc...kind of a pain though. I'll stick with "v".

TokyoB: Yeah got them all on taobao. I'm still thinking about choosing a tea for those new pots...thanks for the input!

Is the design on the side oranges or lemons? I like the color
added to it. How big is the Gaiwan? I've been known to use
the gaiwan as a cup too. :)

Thanks,
I mentioned tea chat to the artist so we'll see if she turns up.
She also makes chawan but lost most in the kiln this time.
