Wow! Cool pictures everybody, thanks for sharing!

Woozl, great find!!! That is a beautiful kyusu, you done good!

Mrs Woozl, I agree with Victoria, put your stuff on Etsy now!!! Love how the "denim" glaze works with the "casual" profile of that serving vessel! And those cups schweeeet!

Tead', that pot looks so large (in college art class we were taught to call such a look monumental)...When I scrolled down I was shocked  to see its dimunitive size...it is a monumental cutie!

Such fun here,
Dreamer

Tetsubin from the same antique vendor.
Image
Nary a drop of rust inside, and just a tad of scale.
How do I care for this? Can I use it on electric stove, or solely open flame
tea light?

Wow, that's a beauty!

Is it lined or unlined? That determines whether you can treat it as a teapot or a teakettle.

I just love these old tetsubin. I think the design on yours is of spring orchids, called shunran (春蘭) in Japanese. (No idea if the kanji will display for you!)

Thanks,
It is unlined, and almost no rust inside.

Exquisite tetsubin and pre-war kyusu Woozl.

I posted a few comments regarding the Japanese on the kyusu over on the "help with Japanese" thread......

Cheers and enjoy!
