Fortunately, I think they are all too big.
Continuing with the Yamada ... maybe a Fugetsu who was taught by Yamada Jozan III will be next.

I can't blame this on my kitties. There's never anything but vegetarian food on the kitchen counters so they don't bother jumping up there - at least not when I'm around.

Nevertheless, tragic.
Cats are responsible for every teaware break here except 1. Walkin (so named because he insisted on walking into our home as a kitten) recently broke my everyday Deishi guinomi. It was the second time he knocked it off the same tray from the same table in about a week. First time if caused a nice character crack that stained instantly.

Sad to see it broken. And it looks like not enough pieces to put it back together again.....although most of the big pieces are there.....sigh.

My cat broke my favorite Petr-yaki shibo and yuzamashi, but I'm more than capable of shattering teaware all by myself, like my poor Deishi kumidashi-wan. Glad I still have its twin, but I keep scouting Mago's listings on e-bay for another one to have a pair again, but still haven't seen exactly the right one.Chip wrote:Cats are responsible for every teaware break here

I bought this 1960's bizen kyusu on ebay the other day. Unfortunately the seller told me he miscounted his inventory and that he didn't have the item. All I was left with was a refund.
Now I am wishing this was mine.

What a beauty auctioned a few weeks ago: karatsu chawan with really nice kintsugi restoration.

Oh that's masterful. I had to take a break from that work due to allergies... But I want to get back in to it....
