Yes, open a new thread under Teaware & Accessories - Asking for teapot recommendations - and tell us the types of teas you like and how much volume you want to make during one session. People will help you.doyoulovedee wrote:thank you for being so welcoming!

Round 1:
Very generic teapot - white porcelean, ingenuitea (although not so much now with the bpa scare), french press, etc.
Round 2:
Starting in the specialty categories: Kyusu, Gaiwan, Yixing, Bone China
Round 3:
Diving in deeper: Matcha chawans, travel containers, individual Yixing, tokoname kyusu,
Round 4:
The deep depths of insanity: Antique wares (chawans, bone china, etc), odd and specialized pieces, comissioned pieces, etc.
Round 5:
Only the teamind knows: Mouth Brewing! and others?
I'm sure others will argue the order of such things and move things around on my list, but that's my quick list. We can provide suggestions for anything you like.

Ohmigod. Intraoral whisking of matcha.
How I wish I could say that I snorted matcha out my nose while reading this. However, I was drinking oolong at the time

This article is coming with me to my next Japanese tea ceremony class!
