You in Wheeling or Schaumburg? Bummer! Could have met at TEavana! Maybe next year. My husband is from the south suburbs, folks still live there.

I think a lot of the attitude came from being snotty north suburbanites! LOL It was in a *BOO* white n'hood! All this store had was english tea sets starting at $120 & <, a TON of tetsubin and cast-iron cups (which I was not interested in) and 3 very expensive yixing. A few single cups available, but all w/no handle for green tea. I bought some Jasmine Oolong and it was acceptable. I was so excited that I remembered Teavana was there just as we were leaving. We'd just bought $350 worth of legos so I was ready to spend some $$ on teaware. Couldn't find anything I like.

Nice stuff, thanks for posting, but I thought it was the chinese greens that tasted like raw cashews.

this is the thing, i got 4 of them blue things for the simple fact that i am the sole tea drinker at my house. so why not just pour one tea pot into one huge cup like that? why frigging not, eh? a 10 cl tea pot will fill that sucker half way up and a bit. when i have guests over, then i will use my smaller cups and share the tea wealth with my honoured guests.

a picture shall be forthcoming with the tea inside those turquoise beauties!

i know you tea nerds will be thinking, what is this guy thinking, using this pot for this, that pot for that kind of tea? but i don't really care, it works for me.

the one pot on the bottom left with the huge opening, i use that for cooked pu erh, maybe green also, why? as i break huge chunks of pu erh from bricks, i will not have any problems fitting wide/huge chunks into the pot whereas other pots with smaller mouths, i would have to break my chunk even smaller and thereby maybe making my tea bitter.

the brown one in the middle row, i use that one for large leaf oolong tea since that pot is quite big and will allow the leafs to fully open up in the pot.

the singular pot in the upper row, the yellow one, i just got that one from s. erler and have not used it yet but i was going to use it for my green teas since that was what erler suggested. i may end up using that one for green pu erh. i love that pot the most.

the half moon tea pot, i use right now for green pu erh.

the red one in the middle row, i use that one for tgy.

i know some of you guys dedicate certain pots to certain teas. i am still narrowing down what works best for what teas....i am nearly there.

if you have any suggestions for changes, let me know. i would appreciate any comments both good and bad.
