Re: Show Off Your Pots and Cups XIV
Here is a fake antique I bought a month ago. It was a tea canister. It had a steel top and bottom with a small steel lid. I knew it was a fake, but the wood was very nice and the carving with the tea poem was so great. I cut off the top, sanded the wood and waxed it. It makes a great container for my tea tools. I'm very happy with how it turned out. My tea tools aren't beautiful, but very functional. I've been upgrading for years as I find a more useful piece, so it is a mix of many different sets. The knife, I use for breaking up bricks of tea. It is an old one that I bought in Yunnan. It was used by a very old tea farmer. He carried it every day for 50+ years he told me. There's also a tea pick in there, scoops, tongs, etc.

Here is some of my teaware, I have more but couldn't fit it in the picture
I'm sure some of my yixing teaware is probably fake. Much of this was gifts from friends and family.

Speaking of Daisen ware... I have 3 different variations of this cup. In a couple of weeks, I should receive a brand new killer camera. It will be better to share some of my Hagi ware. In the meantime here is one of Suzuki-san's cup I have.
